Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Web Author to join our team at WebSenor in Udaipur. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, formatting, publishing, and maintaining website content using content management systems and web authoring tools.

The candidate should have a good understanding of web content, basic HTML/CSS, content management systems, and web publishing processes. Strong attention to detail, language skills, and the ability to follow content and formatting guidelines are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Create, edit, format, and publish content on websites and web applications.
Manage website pages, articles, landing pages, blogs, product/service content, and other digital assets.
Upload and format text, images, videos, documents, and other multimedia content.
Ensure website content follows defined formatting, branding, and publishing guidelines.
Use CMS platforms to create, update, organize, and publish web pages.
Perform content checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, grammar, formatting, and completeness.
Review hyperlinks, images, buttons, forms, and other page elements before publishing.
Coordinate with content writers, designers, developers, SEO teams, and project managers.
Update existing website content based on project requirements and client feedback.
Ensure content is properly structured and displayed across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Identify and report content, formatting, or publishing issues.
Perform basic website quality checks before and after content publication.
Maintain proper organization of website content and digital assets.
Follow SEO, accessibility, and web-content best practices where applicable.
Ensure timely completion of assigned content publishing and updating tasks.

Required Skills

Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, especially Word and Excel/Sheets.
Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
Ability to follow formatting and content guidelines accurately.
Basic understanding of website structure and web pages.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams.

Good to Have

Experience with WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, or other CMS platforms.
Basic knowledge of SEO and on-page optimization.
Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Basic understanding of responsive web design.
Knowledge of image optimization and web-friendly media formats.
Familiarity with browser Developer Tools.
Basic knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG.
Experience with HTML editors or web authoring tools.
Previous experience in website content management or digital publishing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Computer Science, IT, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
Freshers are welcome to apply.
Candidates with 0–2 years of experience in web content management, website publishing, content operations, or a similar role are preferred.
