Job DescriptionDGM / AGM – Finance, Costing & Internal Audit

Industry: Steel Manufacturing
Location: Silatara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh
Salary: 1.25 – 1.50 Lakhs per Month
Experience Required: Minimum 10+ Years in Steel / Metals / Manufacturing Industry
Preferred Candidates: Chhattisgarh-based candidates preferred

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented finance professional for the position of DGM / AGM – Finance, Costing & Internal Audit for a reputed steel manufacturing organization based in Silatara, Raipur. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to balance sheet finalization, plant costing, internal audit systems, MIS reporting, and manufacturing finance operations within the steel industry.

The role requires a professional with sound financial knowledge, analytical capabilities, and hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting, cost control, statutory compliance, and internal financial monitoring. The candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting management in financial decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Balance Sheet

Handle complete financial accounting and balance sheet finalization of the organization.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Monitor ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, provisions, and financial closing activities.
Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors, and consultants for smooth audit completion.
Assist management in financial analysis, budgeting, and business performance reporting.

Costing & Manufacturing Finance

Manage product costing, plant costing, and cost analysis related to steel manufacturing operations.
Monitor raw material consumption, production costs, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
Develop systems for cost control and operational efficiency improvement.
Analyze profitability, process costing, and manufacturing expenses across departments.
Coordinate with plant and production teams for accurate costing and financial monitoring.
Support management with financial data for operational planning and decision-making.

Internal Audit & Financial Controls

Lead internal audit activities and ensure implementation of strong internal control systems.
Identify process gaps, financial risks, and operational inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and monitor SOPs, financial policies, and compliance procedures.
Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
Conduct periodic financial reviews and operational audits across departments and units.
Prepare audit reports and present findings to management with actionable recommendations.

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
Coordinate for timely filing of statutory returns and documentation.
Support audit and compliance-related activities with government authorities and consultants.
Monitor financial reporting accuracy and ensure timely submission of management reports.

Team Coordination & System Improvement

Coordinate with finance, accounts, stores, purchase, and plant departments for smooth financial operations.
Assist in ERP implementation, process automation, and system improvements.
Guide and support junior finance and accounts team members.
Ensure effective documentation, record management, and financial data accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualified CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in Steel / Metals / Manufacturing Industry.
Strong expertise in balance sheet finalization, costing, internal audit, and manufacturing finance.
Good knowledge of GST, taxation, audits, and statutory compliance.
Experience in handling plant accounts and cost control systems is mandatory.
Proficiency in ERP/SAP/Tally and MS Excel.
Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Candidates from Chhattisgarh or nearby regions will be preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: 1.25 – 1.50 Lakhs per Month (Negotiable based on experience and expertise)
