Executive - Accounts Payable

Job Description

Job Description:

Kohler Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Executive in Accounts Payable to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. The Senior Executive will also be responsible for coordinating with various departments, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and participating in the continuous improvement of processes within the accounts payable function.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, payments, and reconciliation.
Review and approve invoices and payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation is retained.
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial reports related to accounts payable.
Participate in audit processes and provide necessary documentation as required.
Identify and implement improvements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the accounts payable process.
Train and mentor junior staff members within the accounts payable team.

Skills and Tools Required:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related area.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of relevant tax regulations and compliance issues is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
