Full job description

Job Summary

Craftels is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial records, reconciliations, reporting, and statutory compliance. Candidates with experience in the hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or related industry will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.

* Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

* Prepare and maintain invoices, bills, vouchers, and other accounting documents.

* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

* Perform regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.

* Monitor daily cash transactions and maintain proper cash records.

* Prepare monthly financial reports, MIS reports, and management reports.

* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

* Record and reconcile expenses accurately and on time.

* Handle vendor and customer account reconciliations.

* Assist with GST, TDS, and other statutory accounting compliances.

* Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, vendors, and other external stakeholders when required.

* Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.

* Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.

* Assist management with financial analysis and reporting.

* Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

* Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Education & Experience

* Any Graduate or qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

* Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience is required.

* Experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or related industries will be preferred.

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

* Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance.

Required Skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data management.

* Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.

* Experience with accounting software/ERP systems is preferred.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good communication and organizational skills.

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

* Candidates currently residing in Canacona will be preferred.

* Willingness and ability to travel to Agonda, Goa, as required.

* Access to a two-wheeler or four-wheeler is mandatory.

* Valid driving licence is preferred.

* Candidates should be comfortable working in a hospitality environment.
