Full job description

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to take complete ownership of our accounting, bookkeeping, GST compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring timely and accurate GST and tax compliance.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can independently maintain books of accounts, oversee financial records, and manage statutory filings with minimal supervision.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping

Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally.
Record and review sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Ensure proper documentation and accounting records are maintained.
Prepare monthly financial reports and management summaries.

GST & Compliance

Prepare, review, and file GST returns accurately and on time.
Conduct monthly GST reconciliations.
Handle GST notices, queries, and departmental communications if required.
Ensure compliance with applicable GST regulations and updates.

Taxation & Financial Management

Coordinate income tax compliance and annual filings.
Review financial statements and ensure accounting accuracy.
Assist in year-end closing and audit preparation.
Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

Requirements

Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
2–5+ years of experience in accounting, GST compliance, and financial reporting.
Strong working knowledge of Tally and Microsoft Excel.
Thorough understanding of GST laws and compliance procedures.
Experience handling end-to-end accounting independently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work proactively and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with SMEs, trading businesses, e-commerce businesses, manufacturing businesses, or service companies.
Familiarity with TDS, income tax compliance, and statutory audits.
Experience implementing accounting controls and process improvements.
