Designation: Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) Developer
Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Life Sciences or a related field.
Certifications (if any):
- Certification in ELN platforms (e.g., BIOVIA ELN) – Preferred
- Microsoft .NET Certification (optional)
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in designing, developing and customizing Biovia ELN solutions using ELN SDK, with strong expertise in .NET (C#) full stack development, (Python/IronPython) scripting and (REST/SOAP) API integrations within any (biopharma / biotechnology / life sciences) environments.
Work Timing: Work schedule can be split into 4 hours PM (IST) and 4 hours AM (PST) working hours once KT (Knowledge Transfer) days are completed for new Joiners – During KT Period (i.e. 3 months) work schedule will be complete US (PST) working hours.

Job Role: We are seeking a skilled ELN Developer to design, develop and customize BIOVIA Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) solutions within a regulated Life Sciences environment. The role involves leveraging ELN SDK, .NET (C#) full stack development and scripting technologies such as Python/IronPython to deliver scalable, compliant and integrated laboratory informatics solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance digital lab workflows and ensure seamless system integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and customize BIOVIA ELN applications using ELN SDK
- Develop and maintain full-stack solutions using .NET (C#) technologies
- Implement scripting solutions using Python / IronPython for workflow automation
- Integrate ELN systems with enterprise applications using REST / SOAP APIs
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with GxP, regulatory and data integrity standards
- Perform system testing, debugging and performance optimization
- Support system upgrades, migrations and enhancements
- Document technical designs, configurations and processes
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with BIOVIA ELN development and ELN SDK
- Proficiency in .NET (C#) full stack development
- Experience with Python/IronPython scripting
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP API integrations
- Understanding of Life Sciences / Biopharma domain workflows
- Familiarity with GxP, CSV and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot or other BIOVIA solutions
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server/Oracle)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Understanding of laboratory data workflows and digital transformation initiatives
