S.M.D Laboratory & Equipment Suppliers is an established laboratory and scientific products supplier based in Lucknow, serving research institutes, pharmaceutical companies, universities, testing laboratories and government organizations across Uttar Pradesh.
We work with leading scientific and laboratory brands and are expanding our field sales team.
The Role
We are looking for a Field Sales Executive who can independently visit customers, develop relationships, generate enquiries, follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into orders.
This is a field sales position and requires regular customer visits.
Your customers will include:
- CSIR laboratories
- IITs and universities
- Government research institutes
- Pharmaceutical companies
- NABL/testing laboratories
- Hospitals and diagnostic laboratories
- Industrial laboratories
- Government and institutional organizations
Key Responsibilities
- Regularly visit laboratories, scientists, purchase departments and other decision-makers.
- Develop new customers and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
- Generate enquiries for laboratory chemicals, solvents, reference standards, chromatography products, instruments and consumables.
- Understand customer requirements and coordinate quotations.
- Follow up on quotations and pending orders.
- Identify upcoming requirements, projects, tenders and procurement opportunities.
- Meet monthly sales and collection targets.
- Maintain daily customer visit and follow-up reports.
- Communicate with customers through email, phone and WhatsApp.
- Coordinate with the internal sales and backend team for quotations, availability and delivery.
- Travel within Lucknow and other parts of Uttar Pradesh as required.
Candidate RequirementsEssential
- 2-5 years of field sales experience.
- Good spoken English.
- Able to read and write professional English emails and messages.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable meeting scientists, laboratory personnel and purchase officers.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / Excel / email.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits.
- Must have a field-oriented attitude and enjoy meeting customers.
Preferred Background
Candidates currently working with:
- Laboratory chemical companies
- Scientific equipment suppliers
- Analytical instrument companies
- Life science companies
- Pharmaceutical companies
- Laboratory consumables suppliers
- Chemical distributors
- Scientific product distributors
will be preferred.
A degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy or a related field will be an advantage.
