About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Fundraising Intern-Founder’s Associate to work closely with the Founder and gain hands-on exposure to finance, accounting, fundraising, business operations, research, and strategic initiatives. This is an intern-level Founder’s Associate role, where the candidate will support the Founder with day-to-day financial and business activities while gradually taking ownership of assigned projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

Assist with maintaining basic accounting records and financial data.
Track expenses, invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
Assist in preparing basic financial reports, summaries, and MIS.
Maintain and organize financial documents and records.
Support reconciliation of basic accounts and transaction records.
Coordinate with accountants, finance teams, or external vendors when required.
Help the Founder track budgets, expenses, and cash-flow-related information.

Fundraising Support:

Research potential investors, funds, grants, accelerators, and funding opportunities.
Build and maintain investor and fundraising databases.
Assist in preparing investor lists, research reports, and fundraising trackers.
Support the preparation of pitch decks, financial information, investor documents, and presentations.
Conduct market and competitor research to support fundraising conversations.
Help identify and track potential investor outreach opportunities.
Maintain follow-up records and update the Founder on fundraising progress.

Founder’s Associate Responsibilities:

Work directly with the Founder on business and strategic projects.
Conduct research and prepare concise reports and presentations.
Assist with market research, competitor analysis, and business development initiatives.
Support the Founder in preparing meetings, presentations, and internal documents.
Track important tasks, deadlines, follow-ups, and ongoing projects.
Assist in coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Take ownership of small projects assigned by the Founder and ensure timely completion.
Identify operational gaps and suggest practical improvements.
Handle confidential business and financial information responsibly.
Provide regular updates to the Founder on assigned tasks and projects.

What We’re Looking For:

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong interest in startups, finance, fundraising, and business strategy.
Basic understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
Good knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple tasks.
Willingness to learn and work directly with the Founder in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have:

Knowledge of financial modelling or basic financial analysis.
Experience with Excel/Google Sheets and preparing reports.
Understanding of startup fundraising and investor research.
Familiarity with tools such as Notion, Canva, CRM platforms, or project-management tools.
Prior internship/project experience in finance, accounting, consulting, business, or startups.
