The Manager - Accounts will manage tax compliance, reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory filings for Blue Dart Express Limited. The role will ensure tax accuracy, support audits, and collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to maintain strong tax governance
To ensure accurate and timely tax compliance, reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory filings across direct and indirect taxation frameworks, while strengthening internal controls, audit readiness, and tax governance. The role will also support digital tax transformation initiatives to improve compliance efficiency, enhance reporting accuracy, and proactively identify tax risks.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Indirect Tax Compliance

Prepare and review GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-6, annual returns, reconciliations).

Ensure compliance with GST Act, and other applicable tax regulations and compliances (e-way bill etc).

Support regional teams with specific queries and tax applicability.
Tax Reporting & Reconciliations

Perform monthly tax reconciliations between books and statutory returns.

Reconcile GST input credits with vendor filings (GSTR-2A/2B).
- Ensure proper tax accounting entries in ERP and general ledger alignment.
Regulatory Filings & Statutory Coordination

Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns within statutory timelines.

Coordinate with external tax consultants and statutory auditors.

Support responses to tax notices, assessments, and departmental queries.
- Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for all filings.
Tax Audit & Litigation Support

Assist in GST audits, tax assessments, and statutory audits.

Prepare documentation and reconciliations required during tax scrutiny.

Support in handling departmental notices and follow-ups. Coordinate and interact with tax authorities.

Track ongoing tax matters and ensure timely closure of open items.
ERP, Automation & Digital Tax Governance

Ensure accurate tax configuration in ERP systems.

Participate in automation initiatives for tax reconciliations and reporting.

Leverage AI-enabled analytics for anomaly detection in tax transactions.

Improve efficiency through digital dashboards and compliance trackers.
Internal Controls & Governance
-
Ensure adherence to internal financial controls related to taxation.
-
Identify tax risks and escalate discrepancies proactively.
-
Maintain compliance documentation aligned with listed company standards.
-
Support internal audit and IFC testing for tax-related processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration
-
Work closely with AP, AR, R2R, and Controlling teams to ensure tax accuracy.

Provide tax-related clarifications to business and finance stakeholders.

Assist in training finance teams on tax compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Chartered / Cost Accountant preferred
OR
MBA (Finance) / M. Com with strong taxation exposure
Experience:

5–8 years of relevant experience in direct and indirect taxation.

Experience in listed companies or large multi-location organizations preferred.

Exposure to GST compliance, tax computation, and tax audits.
-
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle or similar platforms).
-
Familiarity with tax automation tools and digital compliance frameworks is an advantage.
