ROLE OVERVIEW
The Delivery Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent Oracle NetSuite ERP implementation engagements across the UAE and broader GCC region. The role acts as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction across the project portfolio. The successful candidate will combine deep ERP programme governance expertise with a collaborative leadership style that motivates cross-functional teams and earns the trust of C-suite stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Portfolio & Programme Governance
- Own the master delivery plan across all active NetSuite implementation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, contractual commitments, and client expectations.
- Establish and enforce programme governance frameworks including RAID logs, stage-gate reviews, change control boards, and escalation protocols.
- Monitor portfolio-level KPIs (schedule adherence, budget variance, resource utilisation, quality metrics) and present executive dashboards to senior leadership weekly.
- Drive Go/No-Go decisions for project milestones, UAT sign-offs, and go-live readiness assessments.
- Ensure all projects adhere to Oracle NetSuite implementation methodology (SuiteSuccess) and internal delivery standards.
Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the executive escalation point for client organisations, building trusted advisor relationships with CFOs, CIOs, and Operations Directors.
- Conduct regular Executive Steering Committee meetings, translating technical progress into meaningful business impact for non-technical audiences.
- Proactively manage client expectations, scope creep, and change requests through structured change management processes.
- Identify and develop upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts in collaboration with the Pre-Sales team.
- Ensure client satisfaction scores (CSAT/NPS) meet or exceed contractual and organisational benchmarks.
Team Leadership & Resource Management
- Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a multi-disciplinary team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Functional Consultants (Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, WMS) and Technical Consultants (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, integrations).
- Own capacity planning and resource allocation across the project portfolio, balancing demand with available supply across onshore UAE and offshore delivery models.
- Conduct regular 1-to-1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations to retain high-potential talent.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across the delivery practice.
- Collaborate with HR and Practice leadership on hiring plans, competency frameworks, and onboarding programmes.
Oracle NetSuite Implementation Oversight
- Oversee all phases of the NetSuite implementation lifecycle: Discovery & Scoping, Solution Design, Build & Configuration, Data Migration, Integration, UAT, Training, Go-Live, and Hypercare.
- Review and approve solution design documents, configuration workbooks, data migration strategies, and integration architecture for complex multi-entity, multi-currency deployments.
- Ensure modules including Financials, Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), Inventory & WMS, Manufacturing, SuitePeople, and CRM are delivered to specification.
- Oversee third-party and custom integration development (REST/SOAP APIs, SuiteScript 2.x, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft) to ensure technical quality and on-time delivery.
- Champion best practices in NetSuite configuration to minimise technical debt and maximise platform scalability for clients.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Own the P&L for the delivery portfolio, tracking revenue recognition, project margin, and utilisation targets on a monthly basis.
- Review and approve project budgets, staffing plans, and commercial change orders prior to client submission.
- Work with Finance and Contracts teams to ensure timely invoicing, accurate revenue forecasting, and collections follow-up.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks arising from scope changes, resource turnover, or technical complexity.
Risk, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a proactive risk register and drive mitigation actions ahead of impact, escalating critical risks to executive leadership as required.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews (PIRs) to capture lessons learned and institutionalise improvements in delivery methodology.
- Champion ISO/CMMI quality standards and ensure internal QA processes (code reviews, test plans, documentation standards) are consistently applied.
- Drive adoption of delivery tooling (JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) to improve planning accuracy and team productivity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
