Job Description
Technical Recruiter - Senior
Location - Pune
Experience - 6+ yrs in Technical Recruitment
Employment Type - Full-Time
Department - Human Resource/Talent Acquisition
Reports To - Head Of HR
Industry - AI-Powered EdTech
EDMO (goedmo.com) is an AI-first EdTech company headquartered in Pune, India, building agentic AI systems and intelligent enrollment automation workflows for US universities and higher education institutions. Our engineering teams work on cutting-edge multi-agent AI platforms, LLM-powered products, and enterprise-grade SaaS solutions that directly impact student enrolment and institutional revenue.
We are scaling fast and looking for a seasoned Technical Recruiter who has walked the technical path themselves — someone who understands what a great DevOps pipeline looks like, can intelligently debate NestJS vs. Spring Boot fit for a backend role, and knows why a candidate's RAG architecture experience matters.

Role Overview
As a Technical Recruiter at EDMO, you will own end-to-end talent acquisition for our most critical and complex engineering, AI, and solutions roles. You will partner directly with technical hiring managers and founding team members to build pipelines for roles across Agentic AI, Full Stack Engineering, Platform & Infrastructure, Sales Engineering, and Solution Architecture.
This is not a transactional recruiter role. We need someone who can have a credible first technical conversation with candidates, assess depth vs. surface-level knowledge, and build quality pipelines — not just quantity.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Technical Hiring
-
Own the full recruitment lifecycle for roles including Agentic AI Developers, Backend Engineers, Full Stack Leads, DevOps/Platform Engineers, Solution Architects, Security Analysts, and Business Analysts
-
Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies on LinkedIn, Naukri, and community channels for niche technical profiles
-
Conduct structured pre-screen interviews to assess technical fit, role alignment, communication, and motivation — independently and without relying solely on JD checklists
-
Coordinate and manage interview panels, ensuring timely feedback loops and reducing pipeline drop-off
Technical Assessment & Pipeline Quality
-
Apply working knowledge of tech stacks (Python, Node.js/NestJS, TypeScript, Salesforce Apex, LangChain, RAG, Docker/Kubernetes, AWS/GCP) to evaluate candidate profiles accurately
-
Distinguish genuine technical depth from surface-level proficiency — especially for AI/ML, Agentic AI, and Cloud-native roles
-
Identify integrity signals during pre-screens (e.g., silence-then-polish patterns, inability to explain own project contributions) and flag accordingly
-
Maintain ATS hygiene (Keka or equivalent) with real-time status updates, pre-screen notes, and structured disposition records
Strategic Talent Acquisition
-
Build and maintain warm pipelines for high-frequency technical roles to reduce time-to-offer without compromising quality
-
Design and iterate structured question banks per role to standardise panel evaluation and improve R1-to-R2 conversion quality
-
Track and report on pipeline metrics: funnel conversion rates, offer-to-DOJ ratios, CNS rates, and source effectiveness
-
Manage offer negotiations, counter-offer risk, post-acceptance engagement, and early dropout prevention
-
Contribute to employer branding and talent positioning for EDMO within the Pune and pan-India tech community
Stakeholder & Leadership Collaboration
-
Conduct regular pipeline review calls with hiring managers and leadership (twice weekly or as required)
-
Prepare concise, recruiter-authored pipeline status reports — not dashboard exports — covering role-by-role progress, blockers, and next steps
-
Proactively flag misaligned JDs, sourcing channel issues, or panel capacity gaps to leadership with recommended solutions
-
Partner with the People team on onboarding coordination and offer rollout post-acceptance
Required Qualifications
Experience
-
6+ years of hands-on technical recruitment experience, with at least 2–3 years focused on AI/ML, Cloud, or Software Engineering roles
-
Prior experience working in a technical role (e.g., junior developer, DevOps associate, QA engineer, solutions support, technical BA) before transitioning into talent acquisition — mandatory
-
Demonstrable track record of closing hard-to-fill, niche technical roles within competitive timelines
-
Experience recruiting for startups or high-growth technology companies is strongly preferred
Technical Domain Knowledge
-
Working familiarity with software engineering stacks: Node.js / NestJS, Python, TypeScript, Java — enough to evaluate stack depth on a pre-screen call
-
Understanding of AI/ML and Agentic AI landscape: LLMs, RAG pipelines, multi-agent frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI), vector databases
-
Awareness of DevOps and platform engineering concepts: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS / GCP, Terraform, Kafka, microservices
-
Ability to read a resume with technical context — not just match keywords, but assess architecture depth, ownership scope, and project scale
Recruitment Skills
-
Structured pre-screen interviewing: ability to design and execute pre-screen scripts with probing follow-ups for vague answers
-
Sourcing: Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Naukri, talent communities, alumni networks
-
ATS management: Keka, Greenhouse, Lever, or equivalent — real-time pipeline hygiene is non-negotiable
-
Offer management: counter-offer mitigation, relocation risk assessment, post-offer engagement
-
Metrics and reporting: pipeline funnel analysis, conversion rate tracking, leadership-ready reporting in plain, recruiter-authored language
Preferred Qualifications
-
Prior background in software development, DevOps, QA automation, or technical pre-sales before moving into talent acquisition
-
Experience recruiting for EdTech, SaaS, or enterprise AI product companies
-
Familiarity with AI-powered ATS/CRM tools and recruitment automation workflows
-
Exposure to US-market or international hiring processes (nice-to-have, not required)
-
Strong professional network in the Pune / Mumbai tech ecosystem
What We're Not Looking For
Please do not apply if you:
-
Have only ever recruited for non-technical roles and transitioned into tech recruitment via keyword matching alone
-
Require a hiring manager to explain basic tech concepts before every pre-screen call
-
Are primarily a relationship manager or RPO recruiter with no experience owning pipelines end-to-end
-
Treat ATS updates as an afterthought rather than a real-time practice
-
Cannot independently assess whether a candidate's claimed AI/ML experience is genuine or surface-level
What You'll Get
-
Direct access and visibility with EDMO's founding and leadership team
-
Opportunity to shape talent acquisition strategy for a fast-scaling AI-first product company
-
Work on genuinely interesting, hard-to-fill roles at the frontier of AI and EdTech
-
Pune onsite role with a collaborative, low-bureaucracy team culture
-
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and impact
