Senior Accountant – Finance & Compliance Lead
Location: Ambenath, Thane.
Industry: Electronics Distribution & Trading

We are a fast-growing distribution business dealing in leading electronic devices and consumer technology products. We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and commercially aware Senior Accountant who can take complete ownership of the accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial control functions of the organization.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the financial backbone of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, GST compliance, smooth cash flow management, audit readiness, and strong financial discipline across all departments.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Management

Manage end-to-end accounting operations of the company.
Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts in Tally.
Perform ledger scrutiny, account reconciliations, and periodic closing activities.
Monitor receivables, payables, advances, and outstanding balances.
Maintain strong control over accounting processes and financial records.
Prepare monthly MIS reports and financial summaries for management.

GST & Indirect Tax Compliance

Preparation and finalization of GST workings.
Reconciliation of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and purchase registers.
Input tax credit verification and GST compliance monitoring.
Coordination with consultants and auditors regarding GST matters.
Ensure timely and accurate filing support.

Income Tax & Audit Coordination

Prepare accounting data and schedules required for Income Tax filing.
Coordinate with Chartered Accountants for tax assessments, audits, and compliance requirements.
Support statutory audits, internal audits, and financial reviews.
Maintain complete documentation and audit-ready records.

Financial Controls & Process Management

Develop and improve accounting workflows and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Monitor financial risks and recommend corrective actions.

Banking & Cash Flow Management

Handle banking transactions, reconciliations, and payment schedules.
Monitor working capital and cash flow requirements.
Ensure timely vendor payments and collection follow-ups.

Inventory & Distribution Accounting

Manage accounting related to inventory movement and stock reconciliation.
Coordinate with operations and warehouse teams for inventory accuracy.
Understand distribution business cycles and inventory accounting practices.

Skills & QualificationsMandatory Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting principles, and statutory compliance.
Advanced proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including:
VLOOKUP
XLOOKUP
Pivot Tables
Data Analysis
Reconciliation Reports
Financial Reporting

Preferred

Experience in distribution, trading, FMCG, electronics, consumer durable, or supply chain businesses.
Experience handling high-volume transactions.
Ability to independently manage finance and compliance operations.
