Job Summary
Task Force Interiors Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across manufacturing operations, joinery production, modular furniture, and interior fit-out projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with approved specifications, quality standards, and client requirements through systematic inspections, process monitoring, defect prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of furniture manufacturing, joinery works, interior fit-out execution, material standards, and quality management practices.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Inspection
· Conduct inspections at various stages of manufacturing, assembly, finishing, packaging, dispatch, and installation to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
· Inspect modular furniture, custom furniture, joinery works, and interior fit-out components for dimensional accuracy, workmanship quality, functionality, and finishing standards.
· Perform incoming material inspections for boards, laminates, veneers, hardware, accessories, glass, and other project materials.
· Verify finished products before dispatch and installation to ensure compliance with quality benchmarks and client expectations.
· Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality deviations and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
Factory Quality Management
· Monitor manufacturing processes across cutting, machining, edge banding, assembly, finishing, and packaging operations.
· Ensure adherence to approved production drawings, shop drawings, material specifications, and manufacturing standards.
· Conduct regular factory quality audits and process inspections to identify improvement opportunities.
· Work closely with Production Teams to minimize defects, rework, material wastage, and process inefficiencies.
· Support implementation of quality control procedures that improve consistency and production output.
Site Quality & Installation Monitoring
· Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of furniture installation, joinery works, and interior fit-out activities.
· Ensure installation works are executed as per approved drawings, BOQs, project specifications, and quality standards.
· Monitor workmanship, alignment, finishing quality, and overall project execution standards.
· Coordinate snagging inspections and ensure timely closure of observations and punch-list items.
· Support Project Teams during client inspections, quality reviews, and project handovers.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
· Develop and implement quality inspection plans, checklists, standard operating procedures, and reporting formats.
· Monitor quality performance trends and identify recurring issues requiring corrective and preventive action.
· Support root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation to eliminate quality-related issues.
· Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on reducing customer complaints, defects, rejection rates, and rework.
· Promote quality awareness and best practices across factory and project execution teams.
Documentation & Compliance
· Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action reports.
· Ensure all quality documentation is properly maintained and available for internal reviews, audits, and client submissions.
· Verify compliance with company quality procedures, project specifications, approved samples, and client requirements.
· Assist in maintaining quality management systems and process documentation standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination
· Coordinate with Production, Design, Procurement, Stores, Planning, and Project Teams to address quality-related concerns.
· Participate in quality review meetings and provide recommendations for process and product improvements.
· Ensure effective communication of quality observations, corrective actions, and preventive measures across departments.
· Support management in maintaining consistent quality standards across factory and site operations.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports highlighting inspections conducted, defects identified, corrective actions taken, and quality performance trends.
· Monitor key quality metrics including rejection rates, rework levels, customer complaints, defect closure status, and material quality performance.
· Provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
· Assist management during quality audits, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing technical drawings, shop drawings, and production details.
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Interior, Joinery, Furniture, and MEP Drawings.
- Knowledge of Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) Procedures.
- Understanding of modular furniture manufacturing, joinery production, woodworking, and interior fit-out processes.
- Experience in conducting stage-wise inspections, material inspections, final quality checks, and snagging inspections.
- Knowledge of furniture materials such as MDF, HDHMR, Plywood, Particle Board, Laminates, Veneers, Acrylics, Solid Surface, and Hardware.
- Familiarity with factory production processes including cutting, edge banding, machining, assembly, finishing, and packaging.
- Understanding of installation quality standards for furniture, joinery, partitions, ceilings, flooring, and finishing works.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining Inspection Reports, Quality Checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and CAPA Reports.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA), and Continuous Improvement Practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and data analysis.
- Ability to monitor and track quality KPIs, defect trends, rework levels, and quality performance metrics.
- Familiarity with ERP Systems, Quality Documentation Systems, and Digital Inspection Tools is an added advantage.
Preferred Technical Exposure
- Quality auditing and compliance checks.
- Material testing and acceptance procedures.

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
· Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
Experience
· 3–4 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance.
· Prior experience in Interior Fit-Out, Modular Furniture Manufacturing, Furniture Production, Joinery, Woodworking, or Construction-related industries is preferred.
· Experience in both factory quality inspections and project site quality monitoring will be highly advantageous.
