US MORTGAGE ANALYST – PAYOFF LETTERS / LOAN SERVICING

We are currently hiring a US Mortgage Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to support a leading U.S.-based mortgage servicing client. This role offers strong exposure to loan servicing operations, payoff calculations, and borrower communication within the U.S. mortgage ecosystem.

As a US Mortgage Analyst, you will serve as an embedded partner working closely with servicing teams, borrower support functions, and internal stakeholders. You will not just prepare payoff statements — you will contribute to accurate loan closure, financial calculations, and customer experience excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will prepare accurate and compliant mortgage payoff letters, ensuring all outstanding principal, interest, and applicable fees are calculated and presented correctly.
You will review and interpret mortgage loan documents to validate payoff requirements, loan terms, and applicable servicing guidelines.
You will perform detailed calculations of interest, fees, and other payoff components, ensuring alignment with servicing standards and regulatory requirements.
You will support borrower communication by responding to payoff-related queries with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
You will ensure all payoff requests are processed within defined turnaround times and service level agreements (SLAs).
You will maintain high standards of data accuracy, documentation, and audit readiness across all payoff-related activities.
You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth loan closure processes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

2–3 years of experience in US mortgage loan servicing with hands-on payoff letters preparation
Strong understanding of mortgage documents, servicing guidelines, and payoff calculations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and basic macros
Ability to review and interpret loan documentation, regulatory guidelines, and servicing requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field; MBA/CFA or postgraduate qualification is a plus
Strong communication skills with experience handling borrower or client interactions
