Role Objective:
To strengthen market presence and drive sales of Ring Main Units (RMUs) and Compact
Substations (CSS) across Rajasthan, India by building client relationships, offering technical-commercial
solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities;
Business Development:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with utilities, EPC contractors, industrial clients, and infrastructure projects across Rajasthan, UP, Haryana.

Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
Sales Execution:

Achieve sales targets for RMU and CSS products in the Rajasthan territory.

Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.

Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively.
Technical Support:

Provide pre-sales technical assistance to customers, ensuring product suitability.

Coordinate with engineering teams for customized solutions.

Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients.
Market Intelligence:

Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market trends in Rajasthan.

Share insights with product management for continuous improvement.
Coordination:

Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and service teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Support after-sales service and resolve client issues promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related field.
Experience:
-
3-6 years of experience in sales of electrical switchgear, RMU, CSS, or related power distribution
equipment. -
Prior exposure to utility projects, industrial clients, or EPC contracts in Rajasthan is desirable.
Skills:

Strong technical knowledge of medium-voltage switchgear and substations.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to work independently and achieve targets.

Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and tendering processes.

Responsibilities:
1) Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting: Develop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launches and engage the potential customers in relevant sales campaigns to build new relationships. Act as first point of contact for customer queries and complaints and resolve them, referring complex issues to others and ensuring that the customer receives an appropriate response.
2) Customer Needs Clarification: Set clear objectives for each sales call or meeting; use standard materials to make a presentation to the customer; and ask relevant questions to evaluate the customer's level of interest and to identify and respond to areas requiring further information or explanation.
3) Sales Opportunities Creation: Identify potential customers by obtaining information, referrals, and recommendations from existing customers and other contacts and/or through participation in trade shows and conferences.
4) Sell Customer Propositions: Identify the products or services that best meet the customer's stated needs, use personal expertise to propose quantities and product configurations, explain the selection to the customer, and invite the customer to make a purchase at the standard price/terms and conditions of sale.
5) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data: Schedule follow-up actions and enter relevant information into the CRM system after each contact with a customer to create a call plan and to ensure that the organization has quality data to enable effective customer retention and business development activities.
6) Promoting Customer Focus: Assist with the development of internal communications and work collaboratively with colleagues to build strong external customer relationships and meet customer needs.
7) Operational Compliance: Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
8) Performance Management: Respond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to improve personal performance; or monitor the performance of the team, allocate work and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure timeliness and quality, and contribute to formal individual performance management and appraisal.
9) Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Educational Requirements: Short-Cycle Tertiary Education
General Experience Requirement: Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)
Managerial Experience Requirement: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)
