Full job description

**Company:** Ruckus | The Sports Store

**Department:** Admin

**Reports To:** Store Manager

**Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Store Admin to join our team and play a key role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our customers. You will be the first point of contact, handling a variety of tasks related to retail sales, inventory management, customer service, and general store administration.

**Responsibilities:**

**Customer Service:**

* Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor.

* Answer inquiries about badminton equipment, pricing, racket specifications, and apparel.

* Address customer concerns and complaints promptly and courteously.

* Provide excellent badminton-related advice and technical product recommendations to customers of all skill levels.

**Sales and Inventory:**

* Process retail transactions, including taking payments and issuing receipts.

* Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate SKU counts for all merchandise, including rackets, shoes, and accessories.

* Upsell badminton equipment, apparel, and store services.

* Handle cash and cashless transactions efficiently and securely.

**Administrative Duties:**

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily sales, inventory receipts, and financial transactions.

* Prepare daily reports on sales volume, product trends, and customer interactions.

* Keep the admin desk and showroom areas clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

* Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining the retail layout as needed.

**Additional Responsibilities:**

* Stay informed about the latest badminton equipment trends, brand catalogs (e.g., Yonex), and technical product specifications.

* Follow company policies and procedures for safety, security, and cash handling.

* Contribute to a positive and professional work environment.

**Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in a retail environment.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory tracking.

* Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

* Basic computer literacy with proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) software and inventory management systems.

* Positive attitude, enthusiasm for badminton, and a willingness to learn technical product details.

* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting for restocking purposes.
