About the Role
Webskitters Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Platform Engineering to lead our DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, and Platform Engineering initiatives. This leadership role will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and automated cloud platforms that support multiple global client engagements while driving operational excellence, reliability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the organization's Platform Engineering strategy.
- Drive a platform-first culture focused on automation, scalability, and reliability.
- Design cloud architecture frameworks supporting multiple client projects.
- Build long-term cloud and infrastructure roadmaps.
- Collaborate with leadership on cloud governance, budgeting, and capacity planning.
Technical Ownership
- Architect and manage AWS cloud environments including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC, and Route 53.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
- Lead Kubernetes and Docker-based containerized deployments.
- Establish monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Define disaster recovery, backup, and multi-region deployment strategies.
- Ensure cloud security, compliance, and governance standards.
Operational Excellence
- Drive reliability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency across cloud environments.
- Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis initiatives.
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud spending.
Team Management
- Build, mentor, and lead teams of DevOps Engineers, Cloud Architects, and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs).
- Drive performance management, technical growth, and skill development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Development, QA, Security, and Product teams.
- Participate in architectural reviews and strategic technology decisions.
- Lead hiring and team expansion initiatives.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Support pre-sales activities and solution architecture discussions.
- Present platform performance, infrastructure health, and cloud cost metrics to stakeholders.
- Align platform capabilities with business and client requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 9+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or related domains.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing technical teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and cloud security.
- Experience working in service-based organizations handling multiple client projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) – Mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Kubernetes Certifications (CKA/CKAD).
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or GDPR.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+.
