Sherwani King is a bespoke South Asian menswear label, founded in 1975, with showrooms in the United Kingdom (Solihull) and Canada (Mississauga) and a virtual consultation service worldwide. We make sherwanis, kurtas, tuxedos and suits that grooms wear to the most important day of their lives. Average order value sits at £1,200+ in the UK and $2,000+ in Canada. We have a 4.9-star rating across 290+ Google reviews and three industry awards. We are now building out our India team — and we need a Marketing Manager to own the demand side of the business end-to-end.

This is a full-time, salaried employment role. You will be a member of the Sherwani King team, reporting directly to the founder. We provide your tools, set your salary, and you commit your hours to us.
It is NOT a contract, retainer, freelance project, agency engagement, or vendor relationship — and we are not currently in the market for those. We have noticed that founders of marketing and creative agencies sometimes apply to roles like this as a way to introduce their agency for client work. WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Sherwani King grew from £100k to £400k+ across two showrooms on word-of-mouth, brand reputation and a handful of paid campaigns the founder ran himself. We have 50 years of heritage, three industry awards, a strong brand, two physical showrooms, a virtual consultation service and a pipeline of new product. What we do not have is a dedicated person owning the demand flow end-to-end.
That is the seat. You will sit alongside our India Head of Fashion Sourcing as the two India-based pillars of the business — she owns inbound (products in), you own outbound (demand out). Together you drive the operating cadence so new product launches have marketing wrappers, marketing campaigns have product availability, and the founder steps back from running both sides simultaneously.
HOW THIS ROLE ACTUALLY WORKS
Every customer journey starts on a paid channel — Google, Meta, TikTok — and lands on the Style Direction Form, our new interactive funnel where the bride and groom input wedding details and get personalised style options before being routed into a consultation booking. Your job is to drive qualified traffic to that form, optimise the funnel for completion, and grow the volume of consultations booked at our Solihull and Mississauga showrooms (and our virtual service).
You will run campaigns end-to-end — strategy, creative production, launch, optimisation, attribution, reporting. You will work with controlled ad budgets, not blank cheques: every pound or rupee spent needs to map to a consultation booked and ultimately an order placed. You will use AI tools (OpenArt, Midjourney, Runway, Sora, ChatGPT, ElevenLabs) to produce ad creative at variant volume — this is a "10-second ad against demographic cohorts" game, not a hero film production game.
You will also own organic socials in tandem with paid — our UK and Canada store managers feed you raw footage from fittings, customer moments and new arrivals. You convert it into Reels, posts, ads. Brand discipline against our brand guide is non-negotiable.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Paid media: Google Ads (Search, YouTube, Performance Max), Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok Ads. Campaign strategy, creative production, launch, A/B testing, optimisation, attribution. Budget management against agreed monthly caps — cost-per-consultation is your North Star metric.
Funnel ownership: Drive qualified traffic to the Style Direction Form. Funnel optimisation across click → form completion → consultation booking. Conversion analytics across the chain. Coordinate with the founder on funnel-level CRO experiments.
Organic content: Instagram Reels, TikTok shorts, YouTube Shorts, static posts, carousels, Stories. Content calendar aligned with paid campaigns and product launches. Source raw footage from UK and Canada store managers, turn it into polished short-form content. Use AI tools for variant production at volume.
Brand operations: Maintain brand consistency across every touchpoint against the Sherwani King Brand Guide (royal, regal, precise, personal — atelier, not shop). Coordinate with UK store, Canada store, India sourcing leads on cross-team content and product launches. Maintain the content calendar across channels.
Analytics and reporting: Weekly dashboards on traffic, SDF completions, consultations booked, consultation-to-order rate, cost per consultation, cost per order, ROAS. Monthly readouts to the founder with recommendations on budget reallocation. Branch-level breakdowns for Solihull, Mississauga and virtual.
Email marketing (Phase B): Once FluentCRM is integrated, take ownership of nurture flows and lifecycle email. Co-design with the founder; execute and report.
WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO
This role is about driving and converting demand. You will not be: building the website (the founder owns that), managing sourcing or production (Head of Fashion Sourcing owns that), on the showroom floor or taking client appointments (branch teams own that), shooting your own footage (branch teams send raw material to you).
If you are hoping for a brand strategist seat, a creative director seat, or a fashion stylist seat, this is not that role. This is a hands-on growth marketing seat with a clear demand-side mandate.
HOW PERFORMANCE IS MEASURED
Your compensation has a base of ₹50,000/month plus bonus tied to: (1) Appointment volume growth above current baseline — your primary KPI. (2) In-showroom conversion rate — consultation to order. (3) Cost discipline — cost per consultation and cost per order against agreed targets.
This is a growth-leveraged comp structure: the better the funnel performs, the more you earn.
CAREER PATH
This role grows. The path from Marketing Manager to Marketing Director sits naturally within 2-3 years of strong performance — owning the function, eventually hiring under you, and stepping into a senior strategy seat as Sherwani King opens new markets (Vancouver 2027, New Jersey thereafter). Honest framing: we are not promising Marketing Director in 12 months — we are saying the role is structured so a high performer can grow into it on a real timeline.
MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of marketing experience (agency, in-house, or both)
- Proven hands-on paid media across at least two of Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads — you can talk through campaigns you ran, budgets you managed, results you delivered
- Analytics fluency — GA4, Meta Business Manager, attribution thinking. You can read a funnel and tell us where it is leaking
- Brand sensibility — you understand premium / luxury positioning and can read a brand guide and execute against it. Sherwani King is an atelier, not a shop
- Content production fluency — you can use AI tools (Midjourney, OpenArt, Sora, Runway, ChatGPT) and short-form video editing (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci) to produce ad creative at volume
- English fluency (written and spoken, UK English style preferred)
- Cross-timezone collaboration (UK and Canada teams remotely)
- Ownership mindset — you treat the marketing budget like it is your own money
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Fashion, luxury, or wedding-industry marketing background
- South Asian wedding / Indian bridal market familiarity
- E-commerce experience (WooCommerce ideal but not required)
- Email marketing tools (FluentCRM, Klaviyo, Mailchimp)
- Funnel CRO / landing page optimisation experience
- Worked in a consultation-driven, high-AOV business model before

WORKING SETUP
