Hello Visionary,
We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We’re looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in future. Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you’d make a great addition to our vibrant international team.
We are looking for job title : Service Architect for Network Services
You’ll create impact by
- Service Definition & Design: Lead the definition, design, and continuous evolution of network services within the myIT / ServiceNow service management framework, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, ITIL principles, and Siemens-specific requirements.
- Process Documentation & Standardization: Document existing (as-is / IST) processes and define and align target (to-be / SOLL) processes for network service delivery, including Interim Model of Operations (IMO) concepts and prioritization of required services.
- Service Catalog & Tooling: Define and refine service definitions, user stories, service offerings, GUI catalog items, transformation maps, and order forms for network services in myIT.
- Requirements Management: Specify and align requirements for Service Request Management (SRM) transactions and CMDB / configuration item (CI) load.
- Commercial Integration: Define commercial requirements for network services, including billing and settlement processes and the design and implementation of Commercial Line Items (CLIs).
- Provider & Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary functional and process counterpart for the external implementation partner on process design and tooling implementation, and coordinate adopted topics with technical and commercial Siemens departments through regular status meetings.
- Testing & Transition: Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing with the provider — including story testing, proof-of-concept (PoC), and pilot phases — and support Transition & Transformation activities such as the Digital Backbone Transition (DBT) program.
- Architectural Governance: Establish and enforce architectural standards and best practices for network service delivery, focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability, and manage interdependencies with other applications and IT services.
- Automation & Continuous Improvement: Drive automation and API-first service integration, explore AIOps capabilities, and identify, align, and implement fixes and continuous improvement measures.
- IT Strategy & Digital Transformation: Contribute to the broader IT strategy and digital transformation roadmap, ensuring the service architecture supports future business needs.
- myIT / ServiceNow as System of Record: Establish and maintain myIT / ServiceNow as the authoritative system of record for all network service assets, configurations, and operational processes.
- Timely Service Delivery: Deliver network service functionalities in myIT on schedule and with successful test completion, per the defined development plan.
- Seamless Service Integration: Integrate new network services (e.g., LANspire and successor services) cleanly into the Siemens IT Service Management framework.
- Reliable Commercial Integration: Ensure consistent CLI implementation and robust billing and settlement processes for network services.
- Improved Efficiency & MTTR: Reduce manual effort and improve Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) through automation, well-defined processes, and strong provider coordination.
You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including
- 5+ years of experience in IT service design, service architecture, or ITSM tooling roles within large, complex enterprise environments.
- Proven hands-on experience with cloud-based service management platforms (ServiceNow or equivalent), including service catalog, SRM, and CMDB.
- Demonstrable experience in service definition, process design, and integration of services into an ITSM framework.
- Experience working closely with external implementation partners and managing the functional / process interface with them.
- Experience with the commercial side of IT services (billing models, CLIs, settlement processes).
- Experience managing data and databases; experience with AI tools for automation is a plus.
- Required Knowledge & Expertise:
- ITSM, ITOM & CMDB: Deep understanding and practical experience across the IT Service Management lifecycle.
- ITIL: Strong working knowledge of ITIL; certification is a plus.
- ServiceNow Ecosystem: Proficiency with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB capabilities, including configuring service catalog items, transformation maps, and workflows.
- Process Design & Documentation: Highly structured approach to mapping, designing, and documenting IST / SOLL processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders — technical, operational, commercial, and external providers.
- Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with network services from a service-management perspective (LAN, SD-WAN, segmentation, SNF, PAN).
- Knowledge of Cisco SDN technologies (e.g., ACI, DNA Center, Meraki).
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles (ZTNA, IAM, segmentation) and Security Operations (SecOps).
- Exposure to major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) from a service-integration perspective.
- API-first design and AIOps experience.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Experience with large-scale IT transformation programs.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong service-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering value to end-users and business stakeholders.
- Highly structured approach to design, documentation, and project execution.
- Out-of-the-box thinking, with the ability to innovate and challenge conventional approaches when appropriate.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and influence cross-functional teams.
- Languages:
- Fluent English (working language).
- German strongly preferred — much of the existing documentation, internal communication, and partner interaction is in German.
