ABOUT THE ROLE
A dedicated BIM Modeller role for steel-structure work on a strategic client engagement in volumetric and modular construction. The successful candidate will be embedded as a dedicated resource on the client account working on real production output (3D models, shop drawings, BOQs, clash resolution) while remaining a full-time BIM Arcavion employee with full mentorship support from senior BIM coordinators and ISO 19650-aligned governance.
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
This is not project-by-project freelancing or body-shop hours. It is a dedicated, full-time engagement on a strategic client account with the stability of BIM Arcavion full-time employment, the mentorship of senior BIM coordinators on call, premium workstation equipment provided, and the discipline of ISO 19650-aligned delivery on volumetric construction projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
✦ Prepare 3D models of residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-use buildings in Revit
✦ Review 2D drawings against architect designs and develop 3D models, detail drawings, BOQs, specifications, shop drawings, schedules for procurement and site work
✦ Generate reports from the Revit model including cost estimates and material requirements
✦ Perform clash detection in Navisworks Manage, prepare structured clash reports, and resolve clashes through coordination
✦ Create drawing templates, project templates, and Revit family content (parametric components)
✦ Develop BIM project plans and collaborate with the design team to ensure accuracy
✦ Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines
✦ Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and other stakeholders
✦ Manage and maintain a database of drawings, revisions, and documentation for version control and traceability
✦ Create as-built drawings reflecting the final configuration and layout once construction or installation is complete
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
✦ 2–5 years of production experience with Revit (advanced 3D modelling)
✦ Advanced clash detection skills using Navisworks Manage
✦ Proficient in AutoCAD 2D
✦ Working knowledge of BIM workflows and BIM 360 / ACC
✦ Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
✦ Independent working capability comfortable on all software listed without hand-holding
✦ Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written (English required)
✦ Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel for documentation and reporting
✦ Able to generate layout drawings and 3D models from sketches and specifications
✦ Familiar with design parameters related to structural and architectural designs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
✦ Exposure to volumetric / modular / DfMA construction projects
✦ Steel-structure detailing experience
✦ ISO 19650 awareness or certification
✦ Dynamo scripting for automation
✦ Family authoring experience for steel components
