In this role, you will be supporting critical business functions including Commercial, Microenterprises, HR, and Bodewell. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to build a dynamic career in data and analytics.
You will learn to design and deliver analytics solutions using Tableau and SQL, and will be a key contributor in our journey toward a more intelligent, predictive future. Associate Data Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop & Support Insights: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of BI dashboards and reports in Tableau to help provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.

Support Key Business Functions: Partner with stakeholders across Commercial, Microenterprises, HR, and Bodewell to understand their core data challenges and contribute to the delivery of robust data-driven solutions.

Learn the Data Landscape: Work with senior team members to learn our data ecosystem. Write and optimize SQL queries to manipulate and extract data from various sources (Oracle, SQL Server, BigQuery).

Rapid AI Skill Acquisition: Demonstrate a fast-paced eagerness to learn and apply AI, Generative AI, and machine learning concepts. You will be expected to rapidly upskill in this area, utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity and supporting pilot projects that demonstrate the value of these technologies.

Ensure Data Accuracy: Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work, ensuring data is reliable in all deliverables with guidance from senior team members.

Collaborate and Grow: Work closely with senior engineers and team members, actively seeking opportunities to learn, absorb best practices in data analytics, and drive our "AI-first" culture forward.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent.

Completion of 1-2 relevant internship rotations within GE Appliances or equivalent co-op/internship experience.

Foundational experience with Tableau, with a portfolio of projects from coursework or internships.

Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write queries to extract and manipulate data.

Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar platforms.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with an eagerness to learn how to tell a story with data.
Preferred Qualifications:

A strong, demonstrated eagerness to rapidly learn and master AI/ML tools and concepts, aligning with our vision to build a team of AI experts. Exposure to Python for data analysis or AI integrations is a big plus.

Exposure to Oracle EBS or Salesforce platforms during internships or coursework.

Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, AWS Redshift).

Basic understanding of ETL tools and concepts.
