Role Overview
We are looking for a results-driven SEO Specialist to join our Digital Marketing team. You will own the organic search strategy for Seller Rocket and select client accounts, driving measurable improvements in rankings, traffic, and lead quality. This is a hands-on role that combines technical SEO, content optimization, and performance analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value, relevant search terms across short-tail and long-tail opportunities for both Seller Rocket and client websites.
- Perform detailed on-page SEO audits and implement recommendations covering meta tags, headings, URL structure, internal linking, schema markup, and page speed.
- Develop and execute technical SEO strategies including crawlability improvements, Core Web Vitals optimization, XML sitemaps, robots.txt configuration, and structured data.
- Plan and execute content briefs, topic clusters, and pillar-page strategies in collaboration with the content team to improve topical authority.
- Build and manage white-hat link acquisition campaigns including outreach, guest posting, and digital PR to strengthen domain authority.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify ranking gaps and opportunities across target keywords and SERPs.
- Track, measure, and report SEO performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and third-party tools on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Identify and resolve technical issues such as duplicate content, broken links, redirect chains, and crawl errors.
- Support marketplace-specific SEO requirements for Amazon and Flipkart listings, including keyword integration in titles, bullet points, and backend search terms.
- Stay current with Google algorithm updates, industry best practices, and emerging SEO trends including GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AI-driven search changes.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and content writers to ensure SEO best practices are embedded in all digital output.
Skills and Qualifications
Required
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within a digital agency or e-commerce environment.
- Proficiency with SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO principles: site architecture, crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct keyword research and translate insights into actionable content and optimization strategies.
- Experience executing link building campaigns and monitoring backlink profiles.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms (WordPress or similar).
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written communication skills for content briefs, outreach, and reporting.
Preferred
- Exposure to Amazon or Flipkart marketplace SEO and listing optimization.
- Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) or AI-search optimization strategies.
- Experience managing SEO for multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Python or Excel macros for SEO data automation and reporting.
- Understanding of paid search (Google Ads) for integrated search strategy planning.
Educational Qualification.
- Relevant SEO certifications (Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot) are an added advantage.
