Tokyo International Academy (TIA) is a Japanese language and education consultancy supporting students and professionals who wish to pursue higher education, Japanese language studies, and career opportunities in Japan. We work with Japanese language schools, educational institutions, recruitment companies, and other partners in Japan.
We are looking for an energetic and responsible Social Media cum Operations Manager who can manage our social media presence while coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of the academy.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Digital Marketing
- Manage TIA's Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google Business Profile and other social media platforms.
- Prepare and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.
- Coordinate with graphic designers and video editors for posters, reels, videos and promotional creatives.
- Write engaging captions, promotional content and campaign messages.
- Regularly post stories, reels, student testimonials, admission updates, interview announcements and success stories.
- Monitor comments, messages and enquiries received through social media and ensure timely responses.
- Coordinate with the sales/counselling team to convert social media enquiries into potential leads.
- Assist with Meta Ads and other digital marketing campaigns.
- Track social media performance, reach, engagement, leads and campaign results.
- Monitor competitor activities and identify new content and marketing opportunities.
- Coordinate photo/video shoots involving students, faculty and academy activities.
- Maintain the brand image and professional communication standards of Tokyo International Academy.
Operations Management
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the academy.
- Work closely with management, counsellors, academic staff, marketing staff and administration teams.
- Monitor student enquiries, applications, admissions and follow-up activities.
- Ensure leads are properly allocated to counsellors and follow-ups are completed on time.
- Maintain and update student, lead and operational data in the CRM/system.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports for management.
- Coordinate interviews, webinars, seminars, orientations and student events.
- Communicate with students regarding classes, interviews, documentation, admission procedures and other updates.
- Coordinate with Japanese schools, recruitment partners and other external organizations whenever required.
- Follow up internally to ensure assigned tasks are completed within deadlines.
- Assist management in implementing new procedures and improving operational efficiency.
- Ensure smooth coordination between marketing, counselling, academics and administration.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English and Malayalam.
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other major social media platforms.
- Basic understanding of Meta Ads, digital marketing and lead generation.
- Good content-writing and creative-thinking abilities.
- Strong coordination, follow-up and multitasking skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Google Sheets, Word and Google Workspace.
- Ability to handle CRM and lead-management software.
- Ability to communicate professionally with students, parents and business partners.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication, Commerce, Management or a related field.
- Candidates with experience in education, study abroad, digital marketing, social media management or office operations will be preferred.
- Fresh candidates with excellent communication, social media and coordination skills may also apply.
Preferred Candidate Profile
We are looking for a confident, proactive, creative and highly organized candidate with the ability to handle both social media activities and operational responsibilities.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable:
- Appearing in social media videos/reels when required.
- Communicating with students and parents.
