About the Role

We are seeking talented and passionate OpenSearch / Elasticsearch Developers to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Java, and Spring Boot, along with a solid understanding of search optimization, indexing strategies, and API development.

This role involves building scalable search solutions, optimizing query performance, and developing robust backend services that support enterprise-grade applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain search solutions using OpenSearch / Elasticsearch.
Create and optimize complex Query DSL queries including:
Match Queries
Bool Queries
Aggregations
Filters
Nested Queries
Design efficient index structures, mappings, and search schemas.
Monitor and optimize search cluster performance and scalability.
Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Write and optimize Painless scripts for advanced search functionality.
Build and consume RESTful APIs.
Analyze and troubleshoot search-related performance issues.
Collaborate with UI developers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.

Required SkillsOpenSearch / Elasticsearch

Strong hands-on experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
Expertise in Query DSL.
Index design and mapping strategies.
Search relevance tuning and optimization.
Performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
Experience with aggregations and analytics use cases.

Java & Spring Boot

Strong programming experience in Java.
Hands-on development using Spring Boot.
REST API development and integration.

Scripting

Experience writing and optimizing Painless Scripts.

Database & SQL

Strong SQL knowledge.
Ability to write efficient and optimized queries.
Experience working with relational databases.

API Development

Designing and consuming REST APIs.
JSON data structures and API integrations.

Preferred Skills

Experience with AWS OpenSearch Service.
Exposure to microservices architecture.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks.
