Role Summary
The Accounts Head will lead the entire accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, internal controls, and team management. This role bridges operational accounting and strategic finance, requiring hands-on expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, audits, and month-end closing processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) as per Ind AS / GAAP.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing with accurate reconciliations.
Review ledger scrutiny, trial balance, and journal entries for correctness.
Present financial results to senior management with variance analysis.
2. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure 100% compliance with Direct & Indirect Taxes (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, etc.).
Oversee GST return filing (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C) and handle assessments/scrutiny.
Manage TDS deduction, deposit, and TDS return filing (24Q, 26Q, 27Q).
Coordinate tax audits under Section 44AB and income tax assessments.
Ensure timely advance tax & transfer pricing compliance (if applicable).
3. Audit Management
Lead statutory audit (as per Companies Act/LLP Act) – finalize financials, manage auditors, resolve queries.
Oversee internal audit – implement recommendations to strengthen controls.
Handle GST audit and any departmental notices.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Supervise vendor payments, invoice booking, and TDS applicability.
Monitor customer collections, aging analysis, and credit control.
Review bank reconciliations, ECS, NEFT/RTGS transactions.
5. Treasury & Cash Flow
Manage daily cash flow and fund planning.
Maintain banking relationships – track loan repayments, interest, and covenants.
Approve vendor/customer payments within authority limits.
6. Team Management
Lead a team of 3–10 accountants (junior accountants, senior accountants, AR/AP executives).
Assign tasks, review work, conduct performance appraisals, and provide training.
Drive automation of accounting processes (ERP improvements, Excel automation, etc.).
7. Systems & Processes
Implement and maintain accounting ERP (Tally, SAP, Oracle, Zoho, or similar).
Design and document SOPs for all accounting activities.
Strengthen internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.

Qualifications & Experience
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory; semi-qualified/inter CA with exceptional experience may be considered.
Experience: 7–10 years post-qualification, with at least 2 years in a team lead role.
Industry preference: Manufacturing, Trading, E-commerce, IT/ITES, or Service industry.
Proven track record of handling statutory audits and tax assessments independently.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
