Job Title: Lead Engineer
Role over view:
Lead end‑to‑end manual and automation testing activities for software components across IoT and cloud‑based applications.
On a typical day you will:
-
Design test strategies, test cases, and automation scripts to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance of solutions.
-
Collaborate with development, systems, and DevOps teams to validate integrated solutions and support CI/CD pipelines.
-
Ensure quality readiness for releases through defect analysis, risk assessment, and continuous improvement.
What you will need to be successful:
-
Degree in Computer applications or B Tech in any engineer
-
Minimum 5+ years software development experience required as below
-
Strong expertise in software testing life cycle (STLC)
-
Hands‑on experience in manual testing and automation testing
-
Solid understanding of IoT architectures and device‑to‑cloud interaction
-
Experience in cloud testing environments (Azure/AWS preferred)
-
Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright
-
Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, or equivalent
-
Experience in API testing for integrated and distributed systems
-
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
-
Ability to analyze requirements and ensure effective test coverage
-
Solid testing experience cloud base application (AZURE, AWS, GCP)
-
Desirable Competencies:
-
Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and quality assurance best practices
-
Hands‑on experience in manual and automation testing
-
Knowledge of IoT systems testing, including device‑to‑cloud integration
-
Experience in cloud testing (Azure/AWS environments preferred)
-
Ability to interpret requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
-
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
-
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
-
Good communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
-
Other Competencies:
-
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps quality practices
-
Working knowledge of API testing for connected systems
-
Ability to mentor junior testers and provide technical guidance
-
Strong ownership mindset with focus on product quality and timelines
