Job Title: Quality Manager
Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control
Location: Manufacturing Plant
Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Director
Experience Required: 8–15 years in manufacturing quality, preferably in stainless steel products, cookware, drinkware, or metal fabrication industries.
Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that ensure stainless steel water bottles meet customer, regulatory, and company requirements. The role oversees incoming, in-process, and final quality control activities, drives continuous improvement initiatives, manages quality teams, and ensures compliance with applicable quality standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Quality Management System (QMS)
- Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Develop and update quality procedures, work instructions, inspection standards, and quality records.
- Lead internal and external quality audits.
2. Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
- Define quality standards for incoming raw materials and purchased components.
- Monitor inspection of:
- Stainless steel sheets/coils
- Caps and lids
- Silicone gaskets and seals
- Plastic components
- Packaging materials
- Approve or reject incoming materials based on specifications.
- Coordinate supplier corrective actions for non-conforming materials.
3. Process Quality Control (PQC)
- Monitor quality at all manufacturing stages:
- Cutting and blanking
- Deep drawing/forming
- Welding
- Necking and threading
- Polishing and buffing
- Powder coating/painting
- Vacuum insulation process
- Assembly and packaging
- Establish process control plans and inspection checkpoints.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
4. Final Quality Assurance (FQA)
- Ensure finished products comply with approved specifications.
- Oversee testing including:
- Leak testing
- Vacuum retention testing
- Surface finish inspection
- Dimensional verification
- Corrosion resistance testing
- Coating adhesion testing
- Drop and durability testing
- Approve final product release for shipment.
5. Customer Quality Management
- Investigate customer complaints and field failures.
- Conduct root-cause analysis using:
- 5 Why Analysis
- Fishbone Diagram
- Pareto Analysis
- 8D Methodology
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Track complaint trends and improvement actions.
6. Supplier Quality Management
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Develop supplier quality improvement programs.
- Monitor supplier quality KPIs and defect levels.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Lead quality improvement projects to reduce defects and waste.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Monitor and improve process capability and product consistency.
- Reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
8. Team Management
- Lead and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.
- Conduct training programs on quality standards and inspection methods.
- Define team objectives and performance metrics.
- Promote a culture of quality across the organization.

QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Experience
- 8–15 years of quality management experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in stainless steel fabrication, vacuum-insulated bottles, cookware, or metal consumer products preferred.

The Assembly Incharge is responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling all assembly operations related to stainless steel water bottles. The role ensures production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved efficiently while managing assembly operators and resources.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Execute daily assembly plans as per production schedules.
- Ensure timely assembly of water bottles to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor line productivity and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Coordinate with production planning and stores for material availability.
2. Assembly Operations Management
- Supervise assembly activities including:
- Bottle body and cap assembly
- Silicone gasket fitting
- Lid assembly
- Straw and accessory assembly (if applicable)
- Branding/logo application
- Final inspection and packing
- Ensure assembly procedures are followed according to approved work instructions.
- Minimize bottlenecks and downtime during production.
3. Quality Control
- Ensure assembled products meet quality specifications.
- Verify proper fitting of:
- Caps and lids
- Silicone seals
- Handles and accessories
- Monitor leak-proof performance and visual appearance.
- Coordinate with the quality team for defect identification and corrective actions.
- Reduce assembly-related defects and rework.
4. Workforce Management
- Lead and supervise assembly operators and line leaders.
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor operator performance and productivity.
- Conduct on-the-job training for new employees.
- Maintain discipline and teamwork within the department.
5. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve assembly efficiency.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
- Reduce cycle time, material wastage, and rework.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
- Conduct daily safety checks within the assembly area.
- Promote safe handling of tools, fixtures, and materials.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S principles.
