Summary:

We are looking for Sales Engineer with experience range of 1-5 Years who is fluent in English, Hindi, Oriya/ Bihari having professional experience in Sales and Marketing of Steel Solutions in Construction Industry in Eastern India and having trust relationship with Structural consultants.

Job Responsibilities:

SUMMARY

The technical sales engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills. Will be responsible for providing value engineered solutions that contribute to the efficient and effective (temporary) foundation solutions to meet customer’s needs. Will have to liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as research, development, design, purchasing, production, and quality, as well as senior company managers. To work in line with the sales team targets and objectives, provide information of the prevailing market conditions and provide sales reports as required.

Maintain long term relationships with Structural Consultants , Architects, Civil & Piling Contractors
Travelling to potential customers project sites, getting involved in an early stage of new projects and advising customers on potential solutions.
Understand customer needs and be able to provide design assistance to the customers with infrastructure, construction and piling companies.
Negotiating tenders and contract terms to meet both client and company’ needs.
Calculating client’s offers/quotations.
Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions with customers and suppliers.
Project follow-up, ensure a proper project management with all parties involved in the project.
Developing and growing long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
Strengthening existing customer relationships & developing new potential ones.
Aggressively increase market share and closely monitor upcoming projects in the North Eastern regions of India.
Marketing analysis: to monitor & evaluate the local competitors and follow the market evolutions.
Technical promotion: be able to assimilate the technical promotion of our products and to offer it with our customers as per their requirements.
Offering after-sales support services and solving client problems.
To achieve yearly sales targets.
Responsible for checking on status of payments and liaising with accounts team as well as keep the Management and/or sales manager updated on an on-going basis.
Responsible for updating the sales database, preparing sales reports as required by the Management and/or sales manager.

Skills:

Work experience of 5-8 years
Sales Experience of 3 years +
Good contacts with structural consultants / design engineers / Geotechnical consultants
Good contacts with big construction companies / contractors / government agencies
Computer skills: MS Word , MS Power-point are must. Acumen to learn Design software will be preferred.
Good technical background.
Sound judgment and good business acumen.
Ability to build relationships with clients quickly.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong personal skills, team player and capable of taking initiative
Fluent in English, Hindi Language. Oriya/ Bihari, one of these languages is mandatory.
Independent, motivated, and able to handle on time customer requirements.
Flexible mind, entrepreneurship, enthusiastic, willingness to learn.
Commercial attitude.
In-depth knowledge of prevailing design & construction practices especially in shoring industry. Previous experience with Geotech/soil nailing / ground anchors will be an added advantage.
Techno-commercial acumen to create new opportunities & conclude business with penchant for Sales.
Ability to create & nurture long term relationships across stakeholders in government & private sectors.
Receptive to idea and a quick learner with ability to conceptionalize innovative solutions & look beyond conventional norms & practices.
A performance-oriented team player with global outlook.
Gravity, patience & perseverance with long term horizon
Self-starter, confidant & multilinguistic personality with good communication skills.
Readiness to travel exhaustively.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering).

Holding a MBA would be an added advantage
