Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead and manage construction projects from planning through execution and completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil construction, project management, site supervision, quality control, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee civil construction activities to ensure timely project completion.
- Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Develop project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
Site Management
- Supervise day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
Quality Control & Assurance
- Implement quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable construction codes, standards, and regulations.
- Monitor material quality and workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation and reports.
Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor project budgets and control construction costs.
- Verify contractor bills, measurements, and quantity estimations.
- Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Assist in procurement planning and vendor evaluations.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct site safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Promote a culture of safety among project teams and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, and project stakeholders.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions.
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Support project teams in design reviews and value engineering initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain project records, site documentation, and correspondence.
- Track project milestones and report performance to management.
- Manage project closeout documentation and handover processes.
Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil).
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in civil construction and project execution.
- Proven experience managing residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or high-rise construction projects.
- Experience in contractor management and project coordination.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation, and billing procedures.
- Familiarity with local building regulations, safety standards, and construction codes.
