AST Outsource Hiring: Drayage Dispatcher (Night Shift)

Company: AST Outsource
Location: Mohali (On-Site)
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per month
Shift: Night Shift (US Operations)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview

AST Outsource is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Drayage Dispatcher to join our growing logistics team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing container movements, coordinating drivers, scheduling terminal and rail appointments, and ensuring seamless execution of drayage operations for US-based customers.

Immediate Joiners and Candidates with Relevant Drayage Experience are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch and coordinate drivers for container pickups and deliveries.
Schedule and manage port, terminal, and rail appointments.
Monitor container availability, free time, detention, and demurrage to minimize costs.
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, steamship lines, terminals, warehouses, and customs brokers.
Track shipment status and provide accurate updates to customers.
Resolve operational issues, delays, appointment conflicts, and service exceptions.
Maintain accurate dispatch records, load information, and operational reports.
Optimize driver utilization, routing, and equipment allocation.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, operational procedures, and service standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

1–3+ years of experience in US Drayage Dispatching.
Strong understanding of port operations, rail operations, container logistics, and drayage workflows.
Knowledge of detention, demurrage, chassis management, and terminal appointment systems.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), dispatch software, and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
