SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT CREATION INTERN — FLOSTAT

About Flostat:

Flostat builds smart water monitoring and automation systems for campuses, apartments, industries, and smart infrastructure. We combine IoT, automation, and cloud technology to help organizations monitor and control water usage in real time while reducing waste. We're a fast-growing startup solving one of the most critical sustainability challenges of our time.

About the Role:

As a Social Media & Content Creation Intern, you'll be the creative force behind Flostat's digital presence. You'll work directly with our core team to design, create, and share content that tells our story, engages our audience, and builds our brand on LinkedIn and Instagram.

This isn't a posting-schedule role. You'll be designing, writing, filming, and editing — creating real content that our actual audience sees and engages with. Your work will directly impact how the startup world perceives Flostat.

This role is perfect if you're passionate about content creation, design, startups, or storytelling — and you want to build a portfolio while working with a real, growing company.

What You'll Actually Do:

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

- Create engaging posts for LinkedIn and Instagram aligned with Flostat's voice

- Write captions, copy, and storytelling content

- Design eye-catching carousels, posters, banners, and promotional graphics

- Research trending formats and suggest content improvements

- Track post performance and optimize based on engagement data

VIDEO & ANIMATION

- Create short product explainer videos and animated content

- Edit reels and promotional clips

- Develop motion graphics or product showcase videos

- Record and produce startup story content

VISUAL DESIGN

- Design branded social media assets using Canva, Figma, Adobe tools

- Create mockups and product photography visuals

- Maintain consistency across all visual branding

- Develop templates for recurring content types

STRATEGY & GROWTH

- Help plan monthly content calendars

- Identify opportunities to grow follower engagement organically

- Analyze competitor content and industry trends

- Contribute ideas for content series or campaigns

BRAND CONSISTENCY

- Ensure all content aligns with Flostat's brand guidelines

- Maintain a cohesive visual and tonal style

- Document and suggest branding improvements

Most internships keep you isolated. This role puts you at the center of how a startup communicates. You'll understand brand strategy, audience psychology, content performance metrics, and how to build real digital presence — not just post updates.

You'll build a genuine portfolio. Every piece of content you create will be live, published, and part of Flostat's actual growth. Companies will see your work when you apply to them.

What Skills Do You Need?

Essential:

- Canva, Adobe Express, or similar design tools

- Basic copywriting and communication skills

- Understanding of LinkedIn and Instagram best practices

- Creativity and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and take feedback

Nice to Have:

- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Figma

- Video editing (Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, VN)

- Experience with animation or motion graphics

- Basic photography or visual composition knowledge

- Interest in startups, tech, sustainability, or IoT

- Duration: Flexible (3-6 months ideal, negotiate based on availability)

- Commitment: 15-25 hours/week (flexible, discuss with team)
