Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of design engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
Oversee the entire design engineering process, from concept development to final product release, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to define project requirements and objectives.
Conduct design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and drive continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies.
Develop and maintain design standards, best practices, and guidelines for the team to ensure consistent and efficient design execution.
Utilize Creo software to create and modify complex 3D models, assemblies, and drawings as needed.
Conduct design analyses and simulations to validate product performance, optimize designs, and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing and procurement teams to optimize product manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in Creo software to drive innovation and improve design capabilities.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing, creativity, and professional development within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Extensive experience in design engineering, with a focus on utilizing Creo software (Pro/ENGINEER) for complex product designs.
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully managing and leading design engineering teams.
In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in conducting design analyses and simulations for structural, thermal, or fluid performance evaluation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and practices.
Previous experience in the industry or relevant product development projects is highly desirable.
