Senior Snowflake Consultant / Architect

Job Title: Senior Snowflake Consultant / Architect
Job Type: Contractual / Project-Based
Work Mode: Remote
Experience Required: 6+ Years
Working Hours: 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Consultant / Architect to join our team on a contractual/project basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, data warehousing, data engineering, and cloud technologies. You will work closely with clients and cross-functional teams to modernize data environments and design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design

Design secure, scalable, and resilient data warehouses, data lakes, and data mesh architectures.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with client objectives.

Data Engineering & Integration

Develop and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, Snowpark, and dbt.
Build robust and efficient data integration solutions.

Migration & Modernization

Lead migrations from legacy databases such as Oracle, Teradata, and AWS Redshift to Snowflake.
Support data modernization initiatives and cloud transformation projects.

Performance & Cost Optimization

Monitor and improve database performance.
Optimize virtual warehouse sizing and resource utilization.
Implement cost-control measures including auto-suspend policies and query tagging.

Security & Data Governance

Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Implement row-level and column-level security.
Apply data masking policies and secure data-sharing practices.

Client Engagement

Conduct client workshops and technical discussions.
Prepare technical documentation and solution designs.
Provide recommendations to technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
6–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Data Architecture.
Strong expertise in Snowflake platform architecture and implementation.
Advanced SQL and database optimization skills.
Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling (Star and Snowflake schemas).
Strong proficiency in Python and SnowSQL.
Experience with dbt, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Certifications

SnowPro Core Certification
SnowPro Advanced Certification (Architect and/or Data Engineer)
