Full job description

Urgent Requirement for " Quality Control" for Acumen IT Services.

Position: Quality Control (QC) / Software Tester
Experience: 1–2 Years
Location: Chandigarh
Salary: Negotiable

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QC/Software Tester to ensure the quality, functionality, performance, and reliability of our web and mobile applications. The candidate will be responsible for identifying bugs, testing new features, preparing test cases, and coordinating with developers to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual testing of web-based software and mobile applications.
Test Android and iOS mobile applications for functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance.
Understand project requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
Perform functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, usability, and compatibility testing.
Test mobile applications across different devices, screen sizes, operating systems, and versions.
Verify application installation, updates, login, notifications, navigation, forms, payments, and other key functionalities.
Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using tools such as Jira, Trello, Bugzilla, or similar.
Re-test bugs after fixes and ensure proper resolution.
Perform cross-browser testing for web applications.
Conduct basic API testing using Postman.
Perform basic database/SQL testing where required.
Check application performance, responsiveness, and user experience.
Maintain proper documentation of test results and defects.
Coordinate with developers, project managers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to resolve quality issues.
Ensure web and mobile applications meet defined quality standards before release.
Participate in the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Required Skills

1–2 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Control.
Strong knowledge of Manual Testing.
Experience in Web Application and Mobile Application Testing.
Basic knowledge of Android and iOS testing.
Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
Good knowledge of test case and bug report preparation.
Familiarity with Jira, Trello, Bugzilla, or similar testing/issue-tracking tools.
Basic knowledge of API Testing/Postman is preferred.
Basic understanding of SQL/Database Testing is an advantage.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
