Full job description

Store Manager

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management of store operations, including receipt, storage, inventory control, and issuance of materials. This role ensures accurate stock management, timely material availability, cost control, and compliance with company policies, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and supervise all store activities including raw materials, spares, consumables, and finished goods (if applicable).
Ensure accurate inventory records, stock valuation, and timely reporting.
Monitor stock levels, initiate purchase requests, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, FIFO/FEFO practices, and material traceability.
Coordinate with purchase, production, quality, and accounts departments.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and resolve discrepancies.
Implement and maintain store procedures, controls, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and statutory requirements.
Lead, train, and evaluate store staff for efficient operations.
Drive cost control, loss prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Graduate/Diploma in Materials Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Store Manager or Senior Store Officer.
Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP/MIS.
Good leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with safety, quality, and audit requirements.
Ability to coordinate across departments and work under deadlines.

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Plant Head

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
