Role description

Senior Business Analyst

UST is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering strategic initiatives and system enhancements by working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support implementation of enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities1. Requirements Gathering & Documentation

Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
Develop user stories, process flow diagrams, and use cases to support development and implementation.
Maintain requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Process Analysis & Improvement

Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support process optimization efforts.

3. Stakeholder Communication & Management

Act as a key liaison between business teams, IT, and external vendors.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Manage expectations and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

4. System Implementation & Support

Support the design, testing, and deployment of new systems and application enhancements.
Work closely with development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
Participate in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Provide post-implementation support, including issue resolution and user training.

5. Data Analysis & Reporting

Collaborate with data teams to ensure accurate and consistent data flow across systems.
Support the creation of reports and dashboards for business insights and decision-making.
Perform data analysis to identify trends and support strategic initiatives.

✅ Required Skills and Experience

8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst.
Strong experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
Proven ability to convert business needs into functional and technical requirements.
Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with SQL or other data querying tools is a plus.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

✅ Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
Experience in enterprise system implementations or digital transformation projects.
Exposure to data integration and reporting solutions.
Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams.
