Does working for 150+ million children of Bharat excite you?
Then this opportunity is for you!
About us:
ConveGenius is an AI-native education infrastructure company transforming how governments, enterprises, and social institutions deliver learning and governance outcomes at population scale. Operating across B2G and B2B segments, the company partners with state governments, CSR funders, philanthropies, and social enterprises to build intelligent education ecosystems that are both impactful and commercially sustainable.
At its core, ConveGenius runs two synergistic business lines:
-
SwiftAI – the intelligence and automation layer that powers citizen engagement, governance efficiency, and real-time decision-making for governments and institutions.
-
SwiftSchool – the learning infrastructure layer that integrates adaptive learning, digital classrooms, and analytics to drive measurable student and system outcomes.
This dual-engine model enables ConveGenius to serve as the technology backbone for education reform — connecting classrooms, communities, and command centres through a unified AI-powered framework. Unlike traditional edtech companies that deliver content, ConveGenius builds infrastructure — platforms that integrate deeply into public delivery systems while enabling private and philanthropic partners to scale their missions with measurable results.
With operations across 22+ Indian states and partnerships with multilaterals, CSR alliances, and government departments, ConveGenius has established itself as a partner-friendly enterprise trusted for aligning policy priorities with social and financial returns. Supported by institutional investors and guided by a double bottom line philosophy, the company consistently delivers impact at scale and profitability with purpose.
As ConveGenius enters its next phase of growth, it is shaping the future of AI-led public education infrastructure — where technology, partnerships, and governance intelligence converge to redefine how nations learn and thrive.

Principal Data Scientist/Principal Growth Scientist - Product Growth & Impact
We're looking for a hands-on data leader who turns product and learning data into growth. This is primarily a strong analytics and data-science role: you'll live in the data, run the experiments, measure impact, and shape the product roadmap. You'll be the person the team trusts to say what the data means — and to do it credibly because you understand how the data was built and where its rough edges are.
You won't be expected to stand up infrastructure from scratch, but you should be comfortable working closely with how data flows — understanding the pipelines feeding your analysis, spotting when something upstream is off, and collaborating with engineering to fix it. Pragmatism, prioritization, and a bias toward shipping matter as much as technical depth.
-
Define and track the metrics that matter — north-star metric, activation, engagement, retention, and conversion across the user funnel.
-
Design, run, and analyze A/B tests and controlled experiments end to end; raise the team's experimentation velocity and rigor.
-
Measure the real impact of product changes using sound causal inference, and tell the team honestly what moved the needle and what didn't.
-
Turn analysis into a prioritized set of growth opportunities, not just dashboards.
- Use advanced SQL as a primary, everyday tool — complex joins, window functions, aggregations, and CTEs to wrangle, transform, and shape data for analysis without waiting on anyone.
-
Build clean, well-modeled, documented datasets and reusable queries that the rest of the company can trust and self-serve from.
-
Maintain a working understanding of the data pipelines that feed your analysis: where data comes from, how it's transformed, and where it can break. Partner with engineering to keep it reliable and to flag quality issues early.
-
Understand how product events are tracked, and weigh in on instrumentation so the data you need actually gets captured correctly.
-
Run deep exploratory analysis on large behavioral and learning datasets to surface patterns worth acting on.
-
Build and validate statistical and ML models (e.g., regression, classification, predictive/retention models) where they drive a clear product or growth decision.
-
Keep the methods proportionate to the question — favor the simplest approach that answers it credibly.
-
Mentor and guide the team — raising standards on data quality, modeling, and reliability.
-
Act as the data partner to Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing, embedding evidence into roadmap and prioritization decisions.
-
Communicate clearly and credibly with stakeholders across the whole org, from engineers to executives, translating complex analysis into decision-ready narratives.
-
Triangulate information from across sources — product data, experiments, qualitative inputs, and stakeholder context — into a single coherent picture rather than isolated metrics.
-
Own the impact plan: connect initiatives to measurable outcomes, define how impact will be tracked, and report back honestly on what worked.
-
Help the rest of the org get more data-literate and self-sufficient over time.
Core (data science & product growth)
-
5+ years in data science / analytics, with a track record of using data to drive product and growth decisions — ideally in EdTech, consumer, or another product-led environment.
-
Strong applied statistics and EDA: hypothesis generation, experimental design, causal inference, and synthesizing messy data into clear conclusions.
-
Hands-on experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and controlled experiments.
-
Ability to take an ambiguous business or product question and turn it into a tractable data problem.
-
Advanced, fluent SQL — you reach for it instinctively to explore, transform, and validate data.
-
Working proficiency in Python and/or R for analysis and modeling.
Data & pipeline awareness
-
Comfortable working in a modern data warehouse environment (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
-
A solid understanding of how data pipelines work — how data is ingested, transformed, and modeled — even if you won't own them. Awareness of orchestration/transformation tooling (e.g., Airflow, dbt) is a plus.
-
Able to collaborate effectively with engineering on data quality, instrumentation, and getting the data you need.
Leadership & communication
-
Experience mentoring or guiding other data professionals (e.g., data engineers or analysts), and comfort partnering with senior leadership such as a CDSO.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management — you can align engineers, product managers, and executives around the same evidence.
-
Strong synthesis skills: able to triangulate messy, multi-source information into a clear, defensible point of view.
-
Pragmatic, outcome-oriented, and comfortable owning ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Education
-
Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Strong practical experience matters more than the specific credential.
-
Experience in EdTech, adaptive/personalized learning, or another data-rich product domain.
-
BI / visualization tooling (e.g., Power BI, QuickSight, Looker).
-
Experience standing up a data function from scratch.
Product growth, A/B testing & experimentation, KPIs / north-star metrics, user engagement & retention, causal inference, EDA, statistical & predictive modeling, machine learning. SQL (advanced), Python / R, data warehouse (Snowflake / BigQuery / Redshift), familiarity with data pipelines and orchestration/transformation tooling (Airflow, dbt), BI / visualization (Power BI / QuickSight / Looker), data quality, and ethical, responsible use of data.
