Full job description

Job Title: Program Manager

Location: Kochi

Department: Program Management

Group: R&D

JOB DETAIL

Program management of Electro-Mechanical Hardware projects.
To increase business values of Company in Hardware development projects.
To work along with operation/execution team to meet the schedule and billing milestones of projects.
To work in Cross Functional Teams.
To motivate the team to achieve organisational goals, timeline and billing targets.
To take up and complete challenging projects within the schedule and cost targets.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Delivery: Own the program roadmap from concept (Phase 0) through prototyping (EVT/DVT/PVT) to Mass Production (MP).
Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate between Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and resource conflicts.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify technical and schedule risks; develop contingency plans to ensure "critical path" milestones are met.
Budget & Resource Management: Track program expenditures and manage hardware BOM (Bill of Materials) costs and tooling budgets.
Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical status into clear executive summaries for leadership and external partners.
Project Plan Preparation and maintaining with key milestones.
Managing Customer calls mainly for commercials and schedule.
Monitoring and controlling the project expenses, billing and schedule.
Status update to BU Heads for Project commercials.
Project status updates to customer and company management.
Follow Quality procedures to execute the projects.

JOB QUALIFICATION

Education: B-Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or Electronics & Communication (EC).
Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is mandatory. Experience: 5+ years in hardware product development, with at least 2 years in a dedicated Program/Project Management role.
Technical Literacy: Ability to read schematics, understand CAD mechanical constraints, and discuss firmware integration intelligently with subject matter experts.

SKILLS

Expertise in Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
Hands-on experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP softwares. Deep understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles of Electro-mechanical Hardware products.
Excellent Communication skills.
Ability to work in Cross Functional Teams.
Skills to break organizational barriers and to interact effectively across Functions and hierarchical levels.

KPI

Schedule Variance (SV): Ability to hit key hardware design milestones (PDR, CDR, SRR) within +/ 10% of the baseline schedule.
BOM Cost Adherence: Ensuring the final Bill of Materials (BOM) cost does not exceed the target cost defined during the design phase.
Change Management Efficiency: The speed and accuracy of processing design changes without disrupting the normal design process.
Risk Mitigation Success: Percentage of identified "High-Risk" items in the Risk Register that were successfully mitigated before reaching the next build phase.

Pay: Up to ₹1,200,000.00 per year
