About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer with 3 to 4 years of hands-on expertise to join our growing engineering team in Chennai. In this role, you will be instrumental in automating, deploying, and managing our scalable infrastructure and applications across cloud-native environments.The ideal candidate is passionate about operational excellence, system reliability, and streamlining software delivery. You will collaborate closely with development, QA, and operations teams to implement DevOps best practices, accelerate release cycles, and ensure our production environments remain highly available and secure.Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Automation: Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to ensure scalability and security.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Implement, optimize, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment workflows and improve deployment efficiency.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized environments and container orchestration platforms to ensure peak performance and seamless microservices deployment.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and maintain high availability.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring compliance and safeguarding production data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with development and QA teams in an Agile environment to automate repetitive tasks, resolve operational issues, and accelerate software delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications (BCA), Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience: 3–4 years of proven experience in automating, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure.
- Cloud Platforms: Strong proficiency in cloud ecosystems like Azure or AWS (experience with Oracle Cloud or GCP is a plus).
- CI/CD & Version Control: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Git/GitHub Actions.
- IaC & Configuration Management: Proficient with Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Containers: Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Web Servers & OS: Solid experience with NGINX and administration across both Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Scripting: Proficient in automation scripting using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Monitoring: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.
Soft Skills & Additional Requirements
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills to collaborate effectively across distributed international teams.
- Mobility: Must hold a valid passport and be flexible to travel to Sharjah, UAE, as needed based on business requirements.
