Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js & PHP)

Job Summary
WEBSTEP Technologies is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Full Stack Developer (Node.js & PHP) to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both modern JavaScript-based backend development and PHP frameworks, with the ability to independently handle projects from requirement analysis to deployment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using Node.js and PHP.
- Develop and optimize backend portals, services, and database structures.
- Integrate front-end components with server-side logic and data storage solutions.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot application issues, debug code, and implement effective resolutions.
- Optimize website and application performance, scalability, and security.
- Develop and integrate third-party APIs, services, and libraries.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure quality deliverables.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience in web application development.
- Proven experience in developing scalable and high-performance web applications.
Technical Skills
Backend Development
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
- Experience with at least one Node.js framework such as Express.js, NestJS, or similar.
- Strong expertise in PHP development.
- Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and/or CodeIgniter.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
Database & APIs
- Experience with MySQL and database optimization techniques.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and services.
Front-End Technologies
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
- Experience in responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
Preferred Qualities
- Ability to manage complete development cycles with minimal supervision.
- Strong ownership mind set and commitment to project delivery.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing business requirements.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented approach, and excellent time-management skills.
