Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled US Bookkeeping Associate to join our growing team. You’ll manage client accounts, deliver precise financial records, and support our Bookkeeping Manager and CPAs in maximizing client profitability. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented pro who thrives in a remote, client-focused environment and loves turning financial chaos into clarity.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Management: Categorize and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks, ensuring every income and expense entry is accurate and organized.
Financial Reporting: Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and financial summaries for tax filings, loans, or strategic planning.
Bank Reconciliations: Compare client books with bank statements to catch errors and maintain flawless records.
Tax Support: Calculate estimated quarterly advance tax payments to keep clients IRS-compliant and stress-free.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Track vendor payments and follow up on unpaid invoices, balancing cash flow for clients.
Year-End Adjustments: Perform adjusting entries to align books with accounting standards and tax requirements.
Cleanup Projects: Review and categorize old transactions, bringing outdated or messy books up to speed.
Client Communication: Collaborate with clients via email or calls to clarify records, ensuring top-notch service.

Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years in US bookkeeping, QuickBooks expertise required (QBO Pro Advisor certification a plus).
Skills: Strong grasp of US accounting principles, US GAAP standards, US tax basics, and financial reporting; good attention to detail; excellent communication.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
