Manager – Accounts & Finance

Our mission is to seamlessly blend nature with design, creating inspiring green environments for homes, workplaces, hospitality, and commercial projects.

Job Summary

Studio Palasa is looking for an experienced Manager – Accounts & Finance to lead the company's finance and accounting function. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, taxation, inventory accounting, banking operations, and financial planning while supporting business growth.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership capabilities and be able to manage day-to-day accounting operations, mentor the accounts team, improve financial processes, and provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management

Lead and oversee all accounting and finance operations.
Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial closing.
Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization.

Statutory Compliance

Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, Auditors, Banks, and Government Authorities.
Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations.

Financial Planning & MIS

Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor departmental budgets and expenditure.
Present MIS reports, Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and business performance reports to management.
Analyse financial data and provide recommendations for business improvement.

Inventory & Operational Finance

Monitor inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
Ensure accurate accounting of inventory movement.
Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams.
Review purchase transactions, vendor invoices, and costing.

Banking & Treasury

Manage banking relationships and cash flow.
Approve vendor payments and monitor customer collections.
Ensure efficient treasury management.

Audit & Internal Controls

Lead internal and statutory audits.
Develop and strengthen internal financial controls.
Ensure documentation is audit-ready.
Recommend process improvements and automation initiatives.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts team.
Allocate work, review performance, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Collaborate closely with HR, Sales, Operations, and Leadership.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards and Financial Management.
Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, Payroll Compliance, PF, ESI, and statutory regulations.
Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
MIS Reporting and Financial Analysis.
Cash Flow Management and Banking Operations.
Inventory Accounting and Costing.
Internal Audit and Financial Controls.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Finance (B.Com mandatory).
M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum 7 years of experience in Accounting & Finance.
Prior experience in retail, manufacturing, trading, inventory-driven businesses, or consumer products is highly preferred.
