Zillow Group is looking for an experienced Sr. Analyst, Financial Systems to join the Central Financial Planning and Analysis team! As a Sr. Analyst, Financial Systems, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, engineers and Finance professionals to improve Financial Forecasting in Anaplan. You will configure, code, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to solid technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.
In this role you will:
Deliver Anaplan V5 foundation and scale the ecosystem – Contribute to Polaris migration and V5 MVPs (ADO, Forecaster, Workflow); transition to leading model builds as Center of Excellence (CoE) expands financial planning and workforce capabilities
Build and optimize enterprise planning models – Design, develop, and maintain scalable solutions across forecasting, expense planning, and workforce models; ensure performance and accuracy as the business grows
Architect data integration pipelines – Partner with data engineering and IT teams to design integrations between Anaplan, Databricks, data warehouses, and upstream/downstream systems
Drive technical design and UAT – Lead solution architecture sessions, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and guide user acceptance testing
Identify and source new use cases – Evaluate opportunities to expand the Anaplan ecosystem; build business cases for extending planning capabilities to additional functions
Support management reporting workflows – Collaborate on consolidation and reporting processes; participate in strategic planning initiatives
This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.
In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
8+ years in enterprise planning/EPM with 5+ years hands-on Anaplan model building in architect-level roles across multiple industries
Proven implementation/consulting background – Led 5+ full-cycle Anaplan implementations (net new builds or platform upgrades) in consulting or internal COE environment
Deep Anaplan technical expertise – Advanced model building capabilities across enterprise-scale implementations; Polaris platform experience preferred
Strong integration & data engineering skills – Hands-on with ADO (or similar MDMs), CloudWorks, Anaplan Connect, REST APIs; experience partnering with data warehouse and ETL teams; Databricks or modern DWH platforms strongly preferred; Workday, Workday Prism, and AWS a plus
Practical coding ability – SQL required; Python, R, or similar scripting languages a plus for data transformations and automation
ALM & governance leadership – Established Dev–Test–Prod workflows, change control processes, and metadata governance across multi-model ecosystems
Financial planning & workforce modeling expertise – Built budgeting, forecasting, expense planning, and headcount models using driver-based methodologies; experience with both classic Anaplan and Polaris required
Business acumen – Translates ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical architecture; comfortable challenging assumptions and proposing innovative solutions
Stakeholder management – Proven ability to engage with Finance executives, business partners, and technical teams; excellent written/verbal communication in English
