System Administrator
To monitor all the software, hardware and associated infrastructure related issues within the office. Use technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills as well as a repeatable process to resolve issues with servers plus other resolution where appropriate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support LAN, WAN, internet plus phone connectivity in various location provide support to other locations on occasion.
- Participate in technology purchasing, assisting with selection, ordering, receipt & initial setup of computers network devices.
- Partner with Network Administrator to create a secure as well as compliant server environment for both hosted non-hosted systems.
- Manage user accounts.
- Identify system software configuration changes.
- Manage hardware as well as software systems includes router, switches, VPN, VOIP phone security systems.
- Perform a desktop administration of different operating systems computers.
- Automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Create purchase requests for IT related purchases and its coordination.
- Implement solutions that meet the operational needs of the company.
- Install new/existing servers.
- Installing & Repairing of CCTV, Biometric Punching machines, other devices.
- Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and also storage, standards project/operational requirements.
- Support new showroom openings and other related BHIMA initiatives/start ups.
- Maintain installation as well as configuration procedures for desktops servers.
- Identify approaches that leverage our resources providing economies of scale.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity as well as availability of all hardware, server resources, systems plus key processes, reviewing system and application logs verifying completion of scheduled jobs like backups.
- Maintain daily backup operations for servers, systems as well as users. Manage onsite plus offsite backups recovery.
- Perform regular file archival purge as necessary.
- Provide support per request from internal staff.
- Investigate troubleshoot issues.
- Apply OS as well as software patches on a regular basis to desktops servers.
- Upgrade as well as configure server desktop software.
- Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades as well as resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory disk partitions as required.
- Perform back-ups restores data for all network servers.
- Maintain users on corporate networks.
- Assist with network - LAN as well as WAN - system design, implementation maintenance.
- Responsible for PC hardware inventory, maintenance, upgrades repairs.
- Responsible for PC software inventory, back-up support.
- Assist with voice communication systems.
- Assist with Disaster Recovery implementation, testing maintenance.
