VidhiSetu is an early-stage legal technology startup building a technology-driven legal infrastructure platform to simplify cost effective access to legal services, legal documents, compliance systems, and structured legal workflows for businesses and individuals.

Position Summary
This is a Founding Full Stack Developer role for individuals who are excited by ideas, research, and product creation in a zero-to-one startup environment.
The ideal candidate combines strong software development skills with curiosity about law, access to justice, and the opportunity to simplify legal systems for ordinary users.
This role is best suited for builders who want to contribute to a long-term vision rather than pursue a short-term internship solely for monetary gain or certificates.
The work mainly includes working with clause extraction engines, document workflow infrastructure, structured document repositories, subscription workflows, compliance tracking systems and workflow management dashboards.
Preferred Background
- Full Stack Development (React.js / Next.js, Node.js, APIs, Databases)
- Interest in legal systems, contracts, compliance, and legal research
- Curiosity about startup ideation, product strategy, and founder-led execution
- Ability to work independently with high ownership
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable frontend and backend systems
- Develop APIs, authentication, data models, and document workflows
- Assist in creating document intelligence, legal repositories, and compliance tools
- Conduct technical and product research to identify new startup opportunities
- Work directly with founders on architecture, product design, and strategic decisions
- Contribute ideas that shape the company’s long-term direction, expected to think beyond coding
1. Develop scalable APIs and application architecture
2. Implement authentication and access control systems
3. Work on document storage and retrieval infrastructure
4. Assist in building clause extraction workflows
5. Work on document categorization systems
6. Build searchable legal repositories
7. Help structure legal data into scalable systems
8. Work on subscription and access-based systems
9. Implement dashboard and user workflow features
10. Improve performance and scalability
11. Debug and optimize application behavior
12. Development of a robust frontend and backend systems with options to accommodate scalability, dynamic product logic, and user workflow optimization
(Clause intelligence and scalable legal systems are key parts of the platform architecture)

Compensation Structure
- Initial engagement may include a modest lump-sum internship stipend for the first three months.
- This role is fundamentally vision-driven and contribution-oriented.
- Future remuneration will be linked to the startup’s progress, funding, and commercial success.
- Significant contributors may be considered for leadership roles, long-term compensation packages, and equity discussions.
