Job Description: Key Responsibilities
Learning Strategy and Needs Analysis
- Partner with business leaders and HR stakeholders to understand capability gaps, business priorities, and performance challenges.
- Conduct training needs analyses, learner analyses, task analyses, and audience segmentation.
- Translate business requirements into clear learning objectives and instructional strategies.
- Recommend the most appropriate learning modalities, including eLearning, virtual instructor-led training, blended learning, microlearning, job aids, performance support, and experiential learning.
Instructional Design and Development
- Design end-to-end learning solutions aligned to business outcomes and adult learning principles.
- Create structured learning journeys, curricula, storyboards, facilitator guides, learner guides, assessments, and job aids.
- Develop highly engaging, learner-centered content for classroom, virtual, digital, and self-paced environments.
- Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and Kirkpatrick evaluation frameworks.
- Ensure all learning products are pedagogically sound, visually consistent, and aligned with brand and quality standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with subject matter experts to extract knowledge and convert complex content into simple, actionable learning.
- Influence and align stakeholders on design choices, program scope, priorities, and timelines.
- Facilitate review cycles with business, legal, compliance, and quality teams where applicable.
- Manage expectations and provide consultative guidance to ensure learning interventions solve the right problem.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor instructional designers, content developers, multimedia specialists, and contractors as applicable.
- Allocate work, set priorities, track deliverables, and ensure quality and timeliness.
- Evaluate the internal team by performing quality audits
- Build team capability in instructional design best practices, digital learning tools, and content innovation.
Learning Technology and Digital Content
- Design learning experiences using authoring tools, LMS/LXP platforms, and digital collaboration tools.
- Work with multimedia assets such as graphics, video, simulations, animations, and interactive scenarios.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and modern learning technologies to improve speed, personalization, and learner engagement.
- Ensure content is optimized for usability, accessibility, and mobile compatibility.
Program Execution and Evaluation
- Support the launch and deployment of learning programs with quality assurance and readiness planning.
- Define success metrics and evaluation methods to assess learner engagement, knowledge retention, behavior change, and business impact.
- Analyze feedback and learning data to improve effectiveness and relevance over time.
- Continuously refine programs based on learner insights, stakeholder feedback, and business outcomes.
Compliance and Quality
- Ensure learning materials are accurate, compliant, and aligned to organizational standards.
- Maintain version control, documentation, and content governance.
- Uphold accessibility, inclusion, and branding requirements in all learning outputs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Psychology, Communication, HR, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, learning content development, or training program management.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably managing instructional design teams or large learning programs.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation models.
- Demonstrated experience designing learning solutions for business, technical, leadership, or functional audiences.
- Proficiency with learning authoring tools and content development platforms such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar tools.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, quality orientation, and learner empathy.
- Exposure to AI-driven learning design, analytics, and digital learning transformation.
- Experience working with LMS/LXP systems and learning data dashboards.
- Certification in instructional design, learning and development, and project management
