Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy & Channel Ownership
- Own and grow Siddhanta's presence across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and emerging platforms.
- Build and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned to organisational programmes, festivals, events and IKS themes.
- Define platform-specific strategy — what we post, when, in what format, and for which audience — and keep a consistent brand voice across all channels.
- Continuously study trends, formats, audio and hashtags to keep content current and discoverable.
2. Content Creation & Viral Growth
- Conceptualise, script and produce scroll-stopping content: short-form video / reels, carousels, infographics, quotes, threads and stories.
- Turn complex IKS topics into simple, engaging, shareable content for a broad audience.
- Drive a deliberate 'made-to-be-shared' approach — strong hooks, clear value, trend-jacking and series-based content designed to grow reach organically.
- Coordinate with in-house and freelance designers, video editors and animators to maintain a steady, high-quality content pipeline.
- Track what goes viral and systematically double down on what works.
3. Social Media Campaigns (Organic & Paid)
- Plan and execute themed campaigns around launches, admissions, events, fundraising and awareness drives.
- Set up, run and optimise paid campaigns on Meta and other platforms within budget, targeting the right audiences.
- Run A/B tests on creatives, copy and audiences to improve cost-per-result and engagement.
- Coordinate influencer, scholar and partner collaborations to extend reach.
4. WhatsApp Campaign Management
- Own WhatsApp as a primary engagement and broadcast channel — managing communities, groups and broadcast lists.
- Plan and run WhatsApp campaigns: broadcasts, drip sequences, event reminders and re-engagement flows.
- Set up and manage WhatsApp Business / API tooling, message templates and automations where applicable.
- Segment audiences and personalise messaging to keep open and response rates high, while respecting opt-in and privacy norms.
- Maintain a clean, well-organised contact and community structure with clear tracking of growth and engagement.
5. Email Marketing & Campaigns
- Build and grow segmented email lists of students, educators, partners and supporters.
- Design and write email campaigns and newsletters — announcements, programme updates and nurture sequences.
- Manage email tooling, automations and templates; ensure good deliverability, open and click-through rates.
- Continuously test subject lines, send times and content to improve performance.
6. Community Building & Engagement
- Actively engage the audience — respond to comments, messages and mentions promptly and in brand voice.
- Nurture an active, loyal community across platforms and convert followers into participants and advocates.
- Manage online reputation and handle queries and feedback professionally.
7. Analytics, Reporting & Optimisation
- Track and report key metrics — reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, campaign performance, list growth and conversions.
- Prepare clear monthly dashboards and insights for management, with recommendations.
- Use data to refine strategy, reallocate effort and continuously improve results.
8. Coordination & Collaboration
- Work with programme, content, design and field teams to source stories, visuals and updates.
