The Role
Zero Trust Network Security Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients for secure network transformation. You’re in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, security, project executives, delivery teams, and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client. You’ll be there from the start of a project understanding what’s needed, identifying security and connectivity requirements, and defining the best technical solution. And you’ll be there at the finish, delivering the right secure solution on time and within budget.
As a Zero Trust Network Security Architect, you’ll draw upon the full breadth of your talent and experience across network security, Zero Trust, secure connectivity, segmentation, threat protection, cloud security, and automation. This is a technical leadership role, so we want you to bring your vision, knowledge, and leadership to each project. To the client, you’re the subject matter expert – consulting early, gathering inputs, understanding what they need from our solution, and defining what Kyndryl can do to meet that need. You design the best Zero Trust network security solution for the job. And finally, you’re the tech leader for implementation.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
• Architect-level experience designing Zero Trust security architectures across enterprise, cloud, hybrid, and remote-user environments
• Experience with SASE/SSE, ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS, DLP, secure remote access, and identity-based policy enforcement
• Strong understanding of IAM, federation, MFA, conditional access, device posture, certificate management, and workload identity
• Experience designing microsegmentation, macro-segmentation, application dependency mapping, east-west controls, and trust-zone models
• Knowledge of network security controls including NGFW, IDS/IPS, DNS security, DDoS protection, WAF, VPN replacement, and encrypted traffic inspection
• Understanding of cloud and cloud-native security across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Kubernetes, microservices, and hybrid application environments
• Experience leading customer-facing architecture discovery, PoCs, solution design, implementation strategy, and technical enablement
• Ability to translate business risk, compliance, and access requirements into target-state Zero Trust architecture and phased roadmaps
• Experience with security operations integration, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, NDR, threat detection, telemetry, and incident-response workflows
• Familiarity with security automation, APIs, policy-as-code, compliance validation, and reusable deployment assets
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
· Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills
· Ability to influence customers, internal teams, partners, and product/vendor stakeholders
· Experience with platforms such as Zscaler, Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, Netskope, Cloudflare, Cato, Illumio, Guardicore, Akamai, Microsoft, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI
· Experience creating reusable architecture patterns, migration playbooks, enablement materials, or automation assets for delivery teams
· Familiarity with DevSecOps, security automation, compliance validation, and policy governance frameworks
