Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Architect/Director- Software Engineering to lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance architecture for enterprise RCM platforms. This role focuses on building robust, cloud-native systems that support mission-critical healthcare financial workflows and large-scale integrations. Moreover, leveraging AI/GenAI as an enabling capability within the overall platform is desired.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy for RCM platforms aligned to business and technology goals.
- Establish and operationalize architecture pillars, including Scalability, Reliability, Security & compliance, Performance optimization, Operations and Cost optimization.
- Drive Design-first mindset across engineering organization.
- Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-latency systems using microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Lead cloud-native adoption and optimize infrastructure costs through:
- Right-sizing, auto-scaling, and workload optimization
- Efficient storage, compute, and data transfer strategies
- Architect integration frameworks for EHR/EMR, payers, and clearinghouses using APIs and messaging systems.
- Define and implement data architecture supporting transactional and analytical workloads.
- Ensure security-by-design and regulatory compliance (HIPAA) across platforms.
- Establish strong observability, SRE practices, and performance engineering benchmarks.
- Drive build vs buy vs reuse decisions for platform capabilities.
- Identify and enable AI/ML and GenAI use cases to enhance automation and efficiency within RCM workflows.
- Lead architecture governance, design reviews, and technical decision-making forums.
- Mentor engineering teams and promote engineering excellence and best practices.
Solution Design and Architecture:
- Undertake solution design and architectural tasks, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of software applications.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations to optimize system design and performance.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to support product development and delivery.
- Define and document architectural patterns, guidelines, and best practices for the development teams.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in architecture leadership roles.
- Strong expertise in:
- Distributed systems, microservices, and API design
- Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- High-availability, fault-tolerant system design
- Experience with data platforms, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of scalability, performance, and secure architecture principles.
Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any field.
Must have Skills:
1.Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in designing and architecting enterprise-level software solutions using modern technologies and frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Java or .NET technologies, cloud platforms, microservices, containers, and API design.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and agile development methodologies.
2. Leadership and Communication:
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Healthcare / Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) domain.
- Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and healthcare integrations.
- Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI-enabled enterprise solutions.
