Job Description

Position: Marketing & Sales Assistant

Industry: Functional Coatings

Department: Marketing & Sales
Reports To: Marketing Head
Experience: 1–4 years preferred
Base Location: Thane City, Maharashtra

As we continue to grow, we are looking for motivated professionals who enjoy working in a dynamic, hands-on environment and want to be part of taking innovative products from concept and customer engagement through to successful project execution.

Role Purpose

We are looking for a proactive and organized Marketing & Sales Assistant to support the company’s marketing, sales, technical sales, and project coordination activities, with a focus on heat management functional coatings.

The role will involve customer interaction, lead follow-ups, technical sales support, site visits, tender documentation, project tracking, and coordination with various functions of the company to effectively move projects from initial enquiry to execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketing & Sales

Follow up on marketing leads, enquiries, and prospective customers through calls, emails, and meetings.
Support business development activities and maintain regular communication with customers and prospects.
Understand customer requirements and coordinate internally to develop suitable product and commercial solutions.
Prepare and share quotations, presentations, product information, and other sales-related documents.
Maintain updated records of leads, opportunities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.

2. Technical Sales & Site Visits

Develop a good understanding of heat management functional coatings, their applications, benefits, and technical characteristics.
Engage with customers to understand technical and application requirements.
Support technical discussions, product demonstrations, sampling, trials, and customer evaluations.
Conduct customer/site visits as required and coordinate internally on follow-up actions.
Work closely with the technical/R&D team to address customer queries and provide appropriate solutions.

3. Project & Cross-Functional Coordination

Assist the Marketing Head in tracking and monitoring the status of projects, leads, trials, quotations, orders, and ongoing opportunities.
Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Technical/R&D, Production, Procurement, Finance, Logistics, and other functions to ensure timely progress of projects.
Follow up on pending actions and highlight delays or bottlenecks to the concerned team.
Ensure effective coordination and communication to move projects from enquiry → technical evaluation → commercial closure → order → execution.

4. Tender Support

Assist in preparing and compiling tender documentation and technical/commercial submissions.
Coordinate with internal teams to collect required documents, certificates, product information, and supporting data.
Assist with online/offline tender filings and ensure submissions are completed within timelines.
Maintain records of tenders, deadlines, submissions, clarifications, and outcomes.

5. Administrative Support

Assist the Marketing Head with reports, trackers, documentation, meetings, and other marketing-related activities.
Support the Office Manager with general administrative tasks whenever required.
Maintain organized records and documentation related to customers, projects, tenders, and sales activities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be energetic, proactive, organized, and comfortable in both customer-facing and coordination roles. The candidate should have an interest in technical products and the ability to learn and communicate technical concepts effectively.

Key Skills

Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong follow-up, coordination, and organizational abilities.
Interest in technical/industrial sales.
Ability to understand and communicate technical product information.
Willingness to travel for customer and site visits.
Good attention to detail, particularly for tenders and documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively across multiple departments.
Result-oriented and persistent approach to following up on opportunities.

Education & Experience

Graduate in Engineering, Science, Business/Marketing, or a related discipline.
1–4 years of experience in sales, marketing, technical sales, industrial products, coatings, chemicals, construction materials, or a related industry preferred.
Experience with tender documentation/submissions will be an advantage.
Candidates with a technical background and an interest in sales/business development are encouraged to apply.
Freshers with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn may also be considered.

Accurate and timely tender documentation and submissions.

Contribution toward moving projects from lead/enquiry stage to execution.
